You replace the headers with the exhaust manifolds if I'm correct.

but why would the headers not work with the kit. i always thought that headers will work with ST kits.

and whats differnt on the DC headers than Tomie ??
I think one main reason would be the fact that theres no room for the downpipe to run if you have headers. Oh my car, there was exactly .25" clearence between my downpipe and manifold.

bump....i had the TN single and APS....and unless the OP never plans on really going over 400whp not worth going with either of those kits.
PL should be what he should be looking at...
the only aps kit i personally like is the extreme, but that seems to be far beyond what the guy needs

because the APS turbo is hidden, it is down near the driver side brake caliper. And the APS ST is a cat-deleted system and the down pipes are made to go to a certain spot from the stock system, therefore if u change that, the measurements wont work

I dont understand why this is so hard to understand. LOL

You CAN-NOT, NOT< NOT< NOT use aftermarket headers because of how tight it gets. Theres no problem on the passneger side but on the drivers side, the downpipe will hit it.

This statement doesn't make much sense to me. The turbo downpipe goes nowhere near the exhaust header/manifold on the APS ST kit.. Unless you mean the Y-pipe that mounts the turbo to the driver's manifold and passenger crossover pipe..

You have intake piping that runs through that area as well as the hot pipe off the turbo to the IC..... On the TN kit is the exhaust piping

I am kind of with rookie on this one, "I dont understand why this is so hard to understand. LOL"

i got the APS single kit about 3 weeks ago and found it for 3995 with free shipping, along with that i bought a JWT heavy duty clutch.. needless to say i am very satisfied but because of my restrictive exhaust my dyno numbers were kind of low 341/381 on a mustang dyno.. with a better flowing exhaust i should add about another 20-25 hp.. I HAVE NO REGRETS at all with my purchase and it is perfect for everyday driving..

are there any aftermarket headers that will allow the kit to fit?

i heard dc headers might work. Also, what if we bore/port the stock manifolds for greater airflow.

almost all aftermarket headers are roughly the same - DC, alphawerks, megan, etc. They really don't flow any better than the stockers, so what is the point?

headers are easy compared to a turbo/twin turbo install. Even with the stockers, you will need to get at the bolts and 'adjust' them to allow for clearance.
