okay... so if the factory NAV has a video input, then I can use the Camp system.

Will I be able to toggle between Camp "gauges" and NAV???

i would think so. i mean, i have a tv tuner set up and a dvd player....joe said if i get the camp system...i can toggle through all three. i would think the same goes for just the nav and the camp system.

The stock nav doesn't have a video input. You'd have to get a special (and expensive!) adapter installed. I believe nav-tv.com makes one for the 350Z.

No idea. I've heard some pro car audio shops are able to build the adapter. In concept, it doesn't seem too difficult. I could probably do it but I just need to identify what type of signal is sent to the nav screen. I'm guessing its a proprietary format or else RGB or DVI would be too easy to rewire.

It is a little awkward but I wanted a stock look and hidden gauges. Can't use the Nav space since I have the computer.

yeah, definitely stock looking. (and, you still have the other cup holder...haha). but, looks good! and, if you ever want to upgrade to the camp system (in case you want all sorts of other read outs)....maybe i can start a group buy! haha. once i have the online store up...i'll get it all going! (should be sooner than later!)

djk

(oh yeah, why didn't you have both of the guages angled more towards you so reading it would be easier? or, is it not that bad?)

It's still pretty hard to read while moving. I will take a look at it when I stop at a light occasionally. I suppose they didn't angle it since that's just the way the cupholder thing sits in the console.

Hmm... now it sounds like it will be really expensive to adapt the Camp to the factory Nav...

I like Bonz gauges, but as pointed out, they would be difficult to read while driving.

Anybody else have ideas on where to put the gauges (with a factory NAV equipped car) and still keep it look clean?

I don't suppose we could be lucky enough to have someone developing an A-Pillar gauge housing of somesort...

You can always buy a new head unit, a single din, and buy a gauge din panel for that area. I'm working with a company to develop a-pillar gauges.

no, keep the cupholder thing so it fits....just turn both of the guages clockwise so you can read them better (rotate the faces....not the whole contraption).

i would think this would make the "breaking of the neck" a bit less! i'm sure it'll make it a bit more visible.
