Is everybody using just a standard battery? The shop put in an old asz battery and charged me for a new one. It was sitting at 12.9 or so volt from day one. after a few months, it's at 12.3v with a warning light coming on from my turbo timer (just the other day, It didn't even have enough juice to crank over and had to charge it).
is everybody using just a standard battery? any benefits of getting a deep cycled battery? i've read some peeps having longevity issues with optima.

I've tried Optima yellow top, Odyssey light weight, Optima red top, and regular old NAPA off the shelf. The last was the cheapest and has done well. Both yellow top and Odyssey did not last long. The red top has done well in my other cars.
If I had to recommend - I'd get a cheap, heavy (standard) battery.
I'm willing to bet the cause of your drain is an improperly wired wideband O2 sensor. If wired wrong, its heating the element all the time, and thus killing your battery. I had the same problem with my braille battery (which was a whole lot easier to kill anyway) until I rewired it.
I use the Optima Red...there is no issues with it.

definitely not. My battery was sitting at 12.9v when it was put in. I'm positive it was a used pos. New batteries should be around 15v.
I'd go with a stock one, mine has lasted 5 years and still going strong. Of course I have had the same luck with NAPA batteries in the past with my other cars.
IMO, don't skimp on a battery. It is a maintenance issue that YOU have control of, unlike some you'd rather be in control of but Nissan tries to do so.
lol don't be jealous...1 sub and two amps dont quite make it a FULL Jl system though...
so lets see pics of your 1500 watt system...
keep looking.. you will see it.. they are all around.. so what do you have for components? probably something generic and weak like your choice of JL Sub and Amps
