Default Deatchsworks Injector Clips

I noticed the stock injector clips don't fit snug over the Deatchwerk injector's.. I mean.. I know they are drop in's and other people are telling me they just used the stock clips but it just doesn't seem snug because the Deatchwerks are a bit wider at the base.. anyone know what I'm talking about and have any advice?

hmm...I havent had any issues with the OEM injector clips fitting the DW injectors. They should click right on.

Thanks for the responses guys. I feel more comfort since Sharif decided to step in as well.

I've solved my problem.. I pretty much just clipped them on even if they are a little loose.. we have 4 big bolts holding down the rail so meh.. I'm positive i'll be fine!

I thought I didn't need the clips myself (the Turbonetics manual says you don't have to re-use the clips), and I was fine w/ 440's...but when I went to 650s for some reason my injectors would pop out under boost, even with those 4 bolts....I decided to try putting the clips on, and I haven't had any problems since...

BTW, these are with RC's....

It took me reading your post a few times to realize you are referring to the fuel rail retainer clips, not the electrical clips from the injector harness.

The retainer clips are not necessary.

Oops, i'm sorry about the confusion. I always refer to those things as harnesses but I can see why you call them clips too.

Yes it was for the METAL clips that hold the injector down into the block.

Got the cats off last night which was a breeze thanks to PB, and now I just have to hook up the piping and do the gauges! Jeffie has been helping me a lot via PM

In order to do the AC line do I have to go pick up a special tool to do that?

To make life easier you might definatly want to pic up the tool to pop them out. It was a breeze with that lil tool. They arn't very expensive either. You can get one at any car parts store too. It just slides over the pipe and then you push it into the socket and Pop the pipe right out. Very handy lil tool.

What tool did you end up using to get the cats off? I know the PB blast works awesome I had to use it too.
