Default Bank 1 lean when Idling for a long time with P1273 code.

I have a problem with bank 1 A/F when my car is idling for a long time. My A/F seem to be fine when I'm driving or a quick stop but if I stop for more than 5 mins then my idle start to get rough. Not sure if its just the upstream sensor coz my idle start to go up and down and my WB actually read lean (I have WB for both banks). I tried to spray some some carb cleaner on the plenum and TB and dont seem to affect anything.

These are what I have noticed:
1. Happen after driving for a while and the car is fully warm.
2. Only if I'm idling for more than 5 mins
3. My Innovate WB start to read 16:1-18:1 A/F while the Idle start to get rough like the car want to die.
4. Only start happing the past few weeks when the weather go colder.
5. No problem when the car is moving.

I know the quick answer is to replace my 02 sensor, but if it's only a defective 02 sensor then why does my WB actually read lean too? Will an exhaust leak can affect my idle too?

Did your Idle get rough with this error? My Innovate actually read lean so not sure if its just the stock sensor.

Welcome to the P1273 club. I have been getting it every few weeks for a year now. I am pretty positive it has to to with test pipes. From what I have found out, most people get this have test pipes with non-foulers. I have never experienced any problems because of it though, just an annoying SES light every few weeks.

I have Utec, STS Turbo, 440cc inj... I'm just curios coz this happen only when I'm sitting in a garage or idling for a long time. If there is a leak or the sensor is bad then I should have the problem regardless right? Can I swap my post Cat sensor with the pre-cat for trouble shooting?

I had my setup for over 1 1/2 years and never had this problem... It just not the CEL but my idle actually get rough like the car wants to die..

yeah i have TP with non foulers and it came after those were installed i think it has something to do with the reading between them both. You could try increasing the size of the hole in the non fouler and see if that would affect it.

I had my exhaust on for a good year before I got the code too, your FI though that is a different ballpark. Ask the guys in the FI section.

Isnt that the P1273 come from the upstream sensor and not the post cat? So can I swap my rear sensor with the front one?

Can't you swap them side to side and see if the other wideband gives you the read instead? That would narrow it down to the sensor right?

I'll admit I haven't taken a look underneath the car coz its getting cold here in NY. I also notice that my car smell more than usual (I have TP) so I'm thinking maybe the ECU is trying to compensate for the leak and dumping more fuel on bank1. So I cant swap my left side with my right side and also cant swap my front with my rear sensor?

your rear sensors are just 02 sensors the front ones are AF sensors one reads real time the other has a delay. and is limited to a wave form as compaired to the af sensor that can be a consistant line. You could try swaping them but it may give you a code still because the sensors are side dependent according to nissan parts people the plugs are the same though.
