Default having issues-might be paranoia-update w/pictures

alright having some issues and wanted some input.

-keep on getting cylinder 5 misfire codes, consistantly with multiple misfires but more concerned about why cylinder 5 is being specified.

-heavy smoking on WOT pulls. can't see it during day( tinted windows might be affecting in) but at night I engulf the car behind in a wall of smoke. just changed to 0w40 mobile one so it might just be the thinner oil passing the turbo seals. on reg. driving no smoke what so ever

-just noticed on cold start up( mornings) my car exhaust spits water(did not rain earlier) and water is beading in pipe. could be condensation but again this after 30 secs with ac off.

my af are in the 11's and utec is not sensing knock nor does the motor feel like its missing a cylinder. coolant levels are good and no sign of oil. running 1 step colder platnium plugs with aprox. 15K miles on them.

maybe being paranoid but I recalled one cylinder going first before the motor takes a dump. I heard that plugs should be good for atleast 30k but also know some change them as frequently as 10k. got a retune recently so that might have a factor. probably nothing major but would like my fears put to rest. thanks

A misfire is a misfire. No paranoia in my opinion. The rest seems almost natural on a FI Z.

Definitely check into cyl. 5. That dosent mean however that the motor is gonna necessarily meet its doom

update- took it to AAM since I was in the area, they pulled the plugs and plug 5's had a larger gap, a 4 or 5, ended up switch the plugs to copper and ideal was smooth.

Thanks clint@AAM

also picked up a turbosmart evo specific BOV @ams used for 150 installed and am back to a recirulating setup. got to tweak the spring setting since its setup for 20lbs+ but it already sounds nicer. ill take picture and sound clips but the fit is BETTER than the APS, sounds better and looks nicer

Thanks cory @ams tuning

I have some stumbling in the 1500-2000 rpm range under light load and i am thinking its the plugs.I am going to switch to copper plugs and see if it makes a difference.

Are you using the mobile 1 0w40?
That's what I use and I have to let my car warm up for like 15 minutes just so the pressure will go down. And I burn a bit more with the 0w40.. I have been thinking of switching on the next change.

i'm using Rotella T-Sync 0w40....

hmm.. you think letting the car warm up for some time reduces pressure? seriously.. i MUST try that because i'm desperate at this point

Well just by watching the oil pressure gauge, I'm almost at 80 then After warm up it drops to 35 at idle. I guess that's just the oil pressure not crankcase pressure. Under boost it's at 60 after the car is good and warm.
