I was looking to supercharge my 2006 Z and from what im hearing stillen, vortech, and procharger is the way to go. For you pros out there i was hoping if you could steer me in the right direction. Basically i'm not looking to have the fastest Z on the road thats why i'm not throwing in turbos and nos, I want to ad significant power about 400whp idealy but im ok with a little less but i want my car to last and i dont want to have problems. Can anyone recomend the supercharger that has the least issues, failure or problems. I appriciate the help from anyone who posts, thanks

IMO the vortech or HKS are probably what you're looking for if you're wanting to keep it simple and achieve your goals.

The stillen won't reach 400whp and the ATI will require you to buy your own engine management if you want to have a prayer of it turning out ok. The ATI is still a decent kit though, but won't be able to go above 420-430whp where the vortech can and possibly the HKS as well

 

Remember to get the power out of the centrifical superchargers it has to be driven aggresivly!!! if you are the type of person that cruises at 2000rpm or lower and expects to be able to just mash the gas and have it pull hard FORGET IT. expect to do a two gear down shift to get it to boost hard. the way i have my vortech pullied i start pulling hard around 4000 to 4500 rpm " around 10lbs of boost at that rpm range ". i usually cruise around at 3000 to 3500 rpm so when i jump on it on it will not fall flat on its face. if you are a lazy driver about down shifting and rev matching, get a turbo....

 

Buy a Vortech Kit. Quit watching fast and the furious. Its "Nitrous" not "NOS". "NOS" is a dammed brand name, not the actual gas. Watch out for those metal plates falling when your intake manifold is about to blow
