yes it is pluged in. I took the IC pipe off of the TB and the throttle valve did not move during that 10 seconds.

If you disconnect your battery for a long time, does that affect your electricals with a UTEC, ie the tune or memory somewhere in there?

I had a similar issue with start up. Take the Utec out and check all the wires! When we were installing the Utec under the dash it was a very tight fit and we managed to Severe the wire that controls exactly what you are having issues with. We fixed the wire and it started up with no issues.

We tried everything for all the manual resets and non of them worked. It ended up being the wire was cut.

jeez, it seems that basically every one that attempts a DIY PL install ends up flatbedding to a shop to get bent over even more.

Sounds like people should just go to the shop to begin with.

good luck!

hah techno FTW... so it turns out the utec had a wire disconected, but dave figured that out within 20 min. Everything else was good. after 2 hours on the dyno we came up with 368whp. I am happy. We had to do the pulls in 4th gear because we kept on hitting the speed limiter in 5th! dave said in 5th it would have made more power.

It was tuned right around 8psi and feels like a champ!! these number are about right on with jeffies numbers. I hope to put it on a Dyno jet sometime to see if i can break 400whp.

Now that it is all said and done i am glad that i did the install myself. it took 15 days from start to finish, but well worth it.

I want to give a BIG shout out to all the people who helped me. Jorge(quicksilverII) thanks for answering my calls and helping me out. Jeffie, even though we never talked your thread helped me out. dave for being the man and fixing my car when i thought it would never run and tuning it to perfection. Also all of you guys who have posted on here and helped me (cass007, slidefox, rudeGv_2.0, Z2envy, etc.....)

I will try to get pics and a vid or two up this week

Wow... Good news. Glad it wasn't a bad Utec unit that needed replacement. Those sound like good numbers on a dyno that has a reputation of being a heartbreaker. I bet you're in the neighborhood of 400whp on a DJ. And those numbers at that PSI sound pretty consistent with the other stock block PL GT35R installs so far with the Utec. I've seen other installs with ProEFI making the same power at approximately 2PSI less.

Congrats and glad everything turned out well in the end!!! Enjoy it!!!

If I remember right I did 373 at 8.5?
I also did 39x at AAM but they said it was running super rich and could easily make much more power if they were to tune it.
