I like your turbo kit. A long time ago I made a post on here that I was going to mount a turbo in that spot, probably over a year ago. I was flamed to no end. I think it would be possible to make alot of power there. When I was a performance shop dyno tuning my car they went and pulled a gt42 out and it fit up there
. I would seriously be interesed in the hot and cold pipe in the near future probably in a month or two. There has to be more than one person like me who would buy just the pipe set up.

Time for an update and a setback.
Now that everything is comming together as far as piping goes, I have noticed a small problem. The crossover pipe that I originally had build, going from the passenger side header over to the driver side collector is a bit tight. I ran it just before the transmision brace/support and even though there is pleny of room to dropp it I decided to reroute it.
This will make it much simpler, and probably more efficient. I will do the crossover just behind the bell housing simmilar to the Turbonetics kit. The line will not be 2.5" either, it will downsize to 2". This is still plenty big considering it will serve three cylinders and will only be about 3' long.
This way it will also be much easier to duplicate....![Big Grin](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Tommorow I will pick up the tubing and start the changeover. It is very minor and I will have it done in a few hours, so not a big deal. Here is a "very rough" idea of what I mean, red is new, yellow will go.

By the end of this weekend all the piping will be complete (IC piping as already welded up and fits just perfect), and I will start with the injectors and fuel pump some time next week. I got a tracking number from Hal@IP today so the Haltech will go in very soon as well.
I also got around to doing some litle stuff, like relocating the power steering cooler and running some oil lines. I still need that dam T adaptor for the oil pressure sensor/turbo oil supply. I contacted a couple of Turbonetics dealers (not on this forum) regarding the T but no response.
What site sponsor can I PM for this dam T fitting?

Percisely. I am enjoying every minute of it. The car is a blast to drive, last night I put an STI in it's place without much effort. My wife is very frustrated, she has a fractured bone in her right hand and can't drive the car. Shifting is very painfull. Hope to have some dyno number for you guys next week.

and the rims are even sweet too! lol
i wish i lived in canada so you could fab me one of these. I'm more of a supercharger guy but this kit would make me want to try a turbo out. I like the fact that it's boosting so low rpm.

I am booked for dyno, one week from tonight. So June 1st I will have the numbers for all you that can't wait any longer. That includes you Jay'Z. The rims are Five Axis S5:F's. 19x9.5 +25 19x10.5 +22. There is a group buy still on in the vendor marketplace section.

after all the fitment issues with my vortech i'd rather have it up on the lift and just make something to fit the car. Just like you did.
Maybe when i'm tired of the vortech i'll call on you to fab me up something.

Thank you, and the oil thing seems to be working. At least from what I can tell as of right now. I think I know what the problem was though. When the car gets parked, the oil from the supply line would drain in to the turbo. With the scavenge pump being off, the oil really had no where to go, so it would sit inside the turbo and slowly seep past the seals. That is why I had a few drops of oil under the car when it sits in the garage overnight. It is something I will be keeping an eye on, but I think the problem has been resolved.
Thank you for the pictures and advice in the other thread. The funny thing is when I started this project my plan was to have some sort of a reseirvor under the turbo. Whatever I came up with at the time seemed like it would hand too low, so I gave up on it
Now all I need to do is dyno it. It really doesn't matter to me how much HP it's making because the car moves really well. It is more than enough for a street car, because running through 3rd gear will get you fast enough to attract traffic enforment officers in a hurry. I am really happy with the 3" exhaust, I get boost a full 1000rpm sooner now and it's perfect.

Yah me too, couple more days and I should have some numbers. Hopefully the stock clutch holds up. I am assuming that most of you guy dyno in 5th gear, as it is closes to a 1:1 ratio.
My guess is about 350whp. It is only a .4 bar w/g spring, so just under 6psi, and the tune is very conservative. I don't have any other supporting mods, we will see I guess. The only thing changed under the hood was fuel delivery, other than that, bone stock. I will probably get a plenum spacer in the near future, it should help with throdle response from idle. I just bought a JWT flywheel and a CM FX300 clutch (used) that will be the next project.
Last night I had a 645i trying to play, and even I was shocked when I put 3 cars on him in second gear alone. Good times.

Well, I had the appointment for a dyno like I had stated. Unfortunetly, by the time I got to the shop the guys had already left. We agreed that I will be at the door between 5:30pm and 6:00pm, I got there at 6:00 and the shop was locked up.
So that is what went down. However, I am scheduled to go back in on Tuesday, June 9. So I hope to have some numbers. It will be a Dynojet, I am leaving work extra early just to make sure I get there on time.
So, a couple more days.

Oh, I'v been there for a while. I put 2000 miles on the car since the turbo install. All is well, very well actually.
RFS is home made, just like everything else. It was very cheap and works well. I cut the stock fuel rail ends and welded some -AN fittings to them. Very easy and the entire RFS cost me about $280, this includes a aeromotive FPR, all fittings, and braided stainless lines.
