Who does their own Compression/Leak down tests?

+1 on this thread. Lots of good accurate info. Wish the rest of the forum was like this...
Has anyone asked the OP why he wants to do the two tests?? I am the same type of guy and only wound up getting a compression tester out of curiousity to see how a jeep I6 would test at 180k miles. +/- 3 on all 6 cyl and only 10 psi less then spec. If only my VQ proves as durable.

+1 on the thread as well. Good info. I picked one of these up last night at Sears. Much more pricey, but I've had good luck with Craftsman tools (and the immediate gratification of getting it now-now).
