I have heard of people having issues filling their gas tanks when removing all the evap equipment. with not enough vent area, the internal "flapper valve" kept closing up during refueling, making a normal gas stop takes upwards of 15 minutes. check with Tim Trank (he goes by ttrank or timmah) on this subject. he had issues and ended putting the evap setup back in.

I think I will try to vent the side that normally went to the manifold with a breather filter and see how it works. All I really care about is getting rid of some of the hoses and plugs in the bay. I figure I powdercoated everything on the motor, all the lines are nice black braided hose now and the piping will all be powdercoated. Might as well go the last little bit to make it all come together nicely. I wana be able to show off this beauty without all the crap on it:

The G's (at least coupes) have this problem bone stock....ironically, since my build I have never had the issue....and it happened all the time when I was stock (would have to slow fill, or hold the nozzle upside down lol)

I have the slow fill issue every once and a while. Havent tried the upside down fill? Very annoying and the gas smell is kind of embarrasing. Beats paying for $200 worth of parts tho.

I already have the flapper problem, maybe because I unhooked the EVAP sensor thing?

Oh well, I'll just tear it all out this weekend anyways, well see what happens. Worst come, I'll just put a filter on the evap vent.

Danny, all my underhood stuff is gone, the line just sits there and the vac port goes to my wastegates.

My Evap system is removed. No canister etc.. I have the harness just hanging in the back of the block.

No gas filling issues here..

but it will throw codes and give you a "not ready" for EVAP. Meaning you will not pass emissions depending on which state you live in.

I'll be the first to say it. You guys are nuts to remove the EVAP system. It's only taking up a little bit of space and makes the car smell fume free. Gearheads with OCD.

at least the canister is in the rear on this car... otherwise i would have removed it long ago. most cars have it up in the bay just looking all ugly... all we have is a simple line with a single solenoid on it and a 2 wire plug... this engine bay is so freakin ugly that that one thing is hardly a concern of mine... and im super OCD about clutter in the bay... but i found a million other ways to get rid of it.

quamen im also in the middle of a wire tuck, my harness is all open right now, loving it... man the factory routing is just plain stupid. i like how it comes full circle to end with the injector harness plug, and its like 1" away from where the harness is on the passenger side anyway... whats with the f'ing big *** loop around the engine? it should have all stayed in the back... thats where mines going!

Yes, I agree that pics for some of us who need visual aids would be good.
