Default How big can you go??

Intercooler that is

What's the biggest intercooler someone has put in a 06 350z without doing some serious mods?

P.S. Sorry if this is a repost. I DID search and found nothing.

The Sound Performance TT kit comes with a huge 5" thick core. I think it is probably the biggest currently being offered for the Z.

I believe it is Sound Performance as well, you do have to remove bumper support

I will!! We just took out our weak *** 14 psi WG springs and now we have 21 psi base springs in it. Should be good for 42 -45 psi. Oh and then of course there is a little old nitrous kit going on it!!

The APS Extreme kit comes with a 5" core, but it doesn't look as huge as SP's intercooler. To fit the Z you have to mill out a portion of the front crash support bar, but you still use it.

IF the power is still rising at 45 and backpressure to manifold pressure ratios are still in check.... then guess what? Yep Let's try 50 psi or more. I will run the turbos to the point where they are no longer efficient. I suspect it will be in the mid 40s though. Boost itself never hurts anything although the HP created by it can if the motor is not built to withstand it.

APS extreme is a vertical flow correct? Which would be more efficient at dropping temps in our apps a vertical or a horizontal flow....Larry??? I have no clue.

Just curiouso

You think it will make that much boost or be efficient that high with the .63 hotsides?

They've got those billet wheels which flow very different than standard wheels.....kinda in a test and see situation I guess.

Im thinking of putting a tick larger turbine wheels in it and bumping up the a/r. The way she sits with 10 more psi I think we could hit close to 170 in the 1/4. If we want to run 175-180+ trap speeds. though...

While I have the motor out I may make some changes.
