Default does any one here have a stillen blower

so im in cali. i like my z its been the best car i've ever owned. still stock i do a little drag racing with it,(just drag). i've been considering going F/I for a few months. ive been into cars since i was 14. i know your all going to hate me when i say this but ive been considering a stillen blower. here is my reasoning, drag racing not drift or track. so i do what the instant bottom end power. also the stillen your supposed to be able to pass smog with also, unfortunately its something i have to consider. ive seen some #s on this kit. my 06 is supposed to make about 240whp and i cant find any #s for an 06. found some #s for an 03 z that made 305whp. was planing on full exhaust system and switching out the pully to a smaller one (i like boost). few other goodies. im looking for owners on this kit comments, not bitching form people who have no real experience with a stage 2 stillen kit.

Do plenty of research before you buy. There are +'s and -'s to every FI kit out there. I wanted the Stillen for about a day when I first got my Z. Then I wanted to go turbo but finally decided on the Vortech for my own reasons.

I have on that has been ported and runs 9 lbs of boost. I made a mistake and put headers on it ( - 10 rwhp) I hurt the motor and its down 40 lbs in # 2 cylinder. Its a 5 AT. with 3.53 gears with a pro 3200 stall and a stillen VB. 13.09 @ 107.9. Stock was 14.4.
It makes 302 rwhp. Bottom end is great. it hurts half way through 3 rd/.
It sound great.
I am replaceing it with my new GTM 4.2 block with eagletons 850 TT BB ,
will be running by the summer.
Buy a turbo kit,
you will be happy that you did.

mabey i spelled it wrong. but if you change the pulley out on the front of a blower you change gear ratio of the belts. thus making the blower turn faster than the manufacturer designed it to. hence increasing the amount of boost. i was looking to make about 9 psi with the 10.3 to one compression i feel more than that on an everyday driver and an only car would be excessive, i don't want to blow my motor up. also i realize roots type(stillen) makes less power and the centrifugal (vortech). but what i considered. was the power band that the stillen makes its power @ low and some mid (good for drag racing) because they generally spool faster. after i did some more research i found that this blower is based on the eaton M90. the same blower correct me if i'm wrong ford put on the 03 04 cobras. and my dad had the same blower on his 96 4.6l thunderbird and was very happy with it. to finish i just want to know if any one has any no B/S #s on this kit. so please no bitching thank you for your help

Cass wishes Doug wasn't banned, or that Berto was signed on, but has nothing constructive to add to this thread.

If you change the pulley and make the M-62 eaton blower go faster, It makes more heat and the effecency drop way off. I run mine at 7100 rpm ( engine speed) The blower is too small for the 3.5 engine. I have done every thing possible to the stillen Sc i have a custom tune from stillen for the stage 4 box.
They put cams and cosworth heads on it and they made 350 rwhp on there dyno on a 2006 g 35 sedan with a custom pulley for more boost,
Thats a lot of money for 350 rwhp.

When Doug is not around...most people contact Alberto also if they have a Stillen Blower question.

If you are drag racing you want high end power not low and midrange.

Basically if you read what everyone is saying here you will come to the conclusion that the Stillen is not a good value for the money.
