I know personally I never submerged the car in a pond.. lol.. I'm kind of convinced that someone did that to my car. I don't think power wash my car could've caused that right? Next time I'm covering up the intake and intercooler when I wash my car.

I heard it was like a tidal wave in Dave's shop ... I dunno man. Certainly not normal unless your car doubles as a boat or someone really, really doesn't like you.

I can understand the intake, but the intercooler should be a sealed unit. Chances are that the intercooler just filled up by being the low spot on the car .

I think if you sucked in as much water as described, your car would have died on the spot (within seconds of ingesting the water).

I have seen an engine hydrolock before, and it doesn't take nearly as much time or water to happen. That water had to have been sucked up just before shutting the car down, or after. It would not have run for any amount of time like that.

I should also point out that your intake "system" is a sealed system. If there are no leaks, the only place for water to enter is your intake filter.

Hmm... Could it be a bad filter? I should look into that.

like others had said, it would be impossible for the filter to injest that much water, unless it was completely submerged. It would take a very strong vacuum to lift a 3" diameter column of water over 2 feet. You'd know if you did that immediately, like has been said.

someone put a hose into your intake and trashed your car. That or you must black out when you drive and put it in a lake.
