Whats the best Supercharger???
he pushed my buttons long ago and i would have to say it's been tit for tat with the two of us.......i can't help it if he keeps giving me a reason to post
OK so as everyone said if he pushed your buttons. Make a thread about it with specifics that he did and what sam did and lets get it over with. Because honestly its really old that every time george or sams posts here you come right after.
as a builder he shames the industry,if he would just run a honest game and price his motors at the level he builds them i would have no problems at all.
who i am does not matter, where the truth lies is the only thing that is important.gtm's shoddy work has been swept under the rug since i can remember and many have suffered from their deflection of responsibility.
after all if it's not their fault then it must be someone else's,leaving customers scrambling for the truth, which never come's.they claim to "make it right if it's their fault",but somehow it's never their problem.
there is this whole intimidation factor that should not be ignored.when it gets to hot threads get deleted and posts dissapear, gtm is never held accountable.some members here are on thier third gtm "1000" hp motor that popped @ numbers much lower than that.....all of them someone else's fault.
yet nutswingers defend them, old customers clam up as to not upset the masses (or embarrassment, idk) and things go on as if it's not happening.......well if the sheep won't speak up then i will and if i can limit my exposure by being anonomous,i will.
it doesn't mean i'm wrong or lying,it means i'm smart enough not to drag myself down with the charade i'm exposing.
short list of gtm issues i have seen on here and personally:
main journal clearance tight (now how do you explain that ?)
oil squirters ripping off from bad piston clearancing
piston ring gap all over the place (and i mean ALL over)
deck height chopped to scrap levels and the motor sent to cust without a word
almost 100% failure rate of sleeved blocks
leakdown numbers on fresh un-run motors looking like a high miler
cylinder heads "rebuilt" that hold sub-par vaccum as delivered
sandblasting material still in heads as delivered
porous camshaft grinds that self destruct
cam cap bolts stripped in hole, over torqued (i assume) as delivered
head bolts with no lube...that's right dry, with torque all over the place
cylinder to piston clearance so sloppy it rattled to death (one of my favorites)
now, most of these motors have threads on here or at least whats left of the thread or have been deleted to never be seen again.being a builder i have followed them all and participated often, usually with disatrous results.the common denomiators are it's gtm,it's denied by gtm,it's blamed on someone else(vendor,owner,assembler,tuner...you pick)it's poorly argued about cause and effect by gtm, good questions are ignored because the truth is not convienent for gtm and in the end the thread is dimantled into unrecognizeable jibberish.
you can point to me for not being forthcoming with my identity, but the fact remains that i speak the truth.

You forgot to mention the other common denominator with nearly all those allegations - JULIAN @ MRC.
Do a search most of the issues you mentioned are public information, thanks to Julian but not all are - one of the items you listed was a private message between Julian and Sam which was never public.
It makes sense, you originally came on this forum bashing Sharif and his fan kits, around the same time Julian and Sharif had beef, then took a break and started to bash GTM around the time Julian began to have beef with Sam. It is now all so clear.
So who is the mystery man?

ask the mods to check pms.....i have NEVER solicited a sale on this forum.(i did offer FREE assembly once to one of your customers that you screwed though,i felt really bad for him)
the simple fact that you always blame some one else for your pos motors blowing up is enough for me to ride your ***.
i have seen your qc first hand,i laugh at you and pity your over charged customers.at least make your pricing match you half-assed skills.
.....and yes,i do have a waiting list

guys, go-fast is just some disgruntled vendor or self-deserving ex-GTM customer who probably shot himself in the foot and is pissed that he messed up and GTM wouldn't pay for it.
any one of us can set up a fake profile and start pretending to be some secret high and mighty shop owner.
Go-fast isn't revealing anything about himself because he knows he's not real

I believe you, and I honestly believe he has been trying to help reputable members like yourself in order build credibility to his online persona, how else would he get anyone to back him?

But like I said, you were very professional to me,I just wish Sam would of been able to help.
Just for the record....I have no issues with George at GTM. I thought you were very helpful at the time, when I was looking into doing the 5AT built tranny. Now a buddy of mine who has a very small shop down where I live had a h*ll of a time with Sam. Mostly over bad parts being shipped.
But like I said, you were very professional to me,I just wish Sam would of been able to help.

If you don't mind, could you PM me the contact info for your friend? I would like to set the record straight and correct any faults we might have made on our end - I sincerely apologize for his inconvenience and would like to make things right. ( I don't know who your friend is BTW or what you are referring to )
Again, I appreciate your comments,

it seems that i will be banned if i continue to argue with you,so this will be my last post for a while.considering the alternative,a self imposed vacation is the way to go.
thanks to all that supported me here and know my only goal here was to bring honesty to this platform.i have never solicited business from my350z members and had no intention of doing so.this place was just a deviation from my regular routine, made some friends along the way and pissed off some vendors who where less than honest.
g/l with the vq.....maybe i'll check back sometime
Frank,
We have had the the opportunity to install hundreds of forced induction systems on the VQ so I can say we have seen it all. Our sales reps, just like George, are true VQ enthusiasts that not only sell the products but also use them on their own cars as well, and they recommend what they think is best to our customers. Now when we have a customer walking in the door or calling on a super charger recommendation, it is difficult for us not mention the failures we have had with these units, now I know Vortech has extended the warranty and has taken car of the repair on the blowers but, we feel that the right thing to do is to state what experiences we have had whether good or bad, so this way the customer does not come on the forum, do a simple search, and find all of the bearing problems Vortech has had.
It is only the right thing to do. So that is why George made that comment. Now we have not got the chance to install the new V3 yet, I'm glad that Vortech made that improvement and we look forward for a successful install on one. Maybe this a little too late for a car in our shop that the Vortech supercharger has gone bad 3 times and the third time it killed the engine. This is going to get messy, I'm going to need your help to take care of the customer, I will call you ...

I know you've seen it all. I'm well aware of your shop and knowledge on VQs. That's why when people call me and ask for a good shop in So Cal for a Vortech install or tune (350Z/G35) I recommend GTM. I was really disappointed when I read George's post. You guys have sent in a total of five (5) blowers from January 2008-January 2009. I know there were more before that due to the bearing issue (which is no longer an issue) but in George's post he claims "so many issues with Vortechs latley". With the hundreds of installs you do (I know they're not all Vortech) I'd say five issues is pretty good. Unless you've only installed five. I can appreciate your honesty with your customers. Since you're being so honest do you tell them that a 2.87" pulley will overspin the blower, and that overspinning the blower could cause it to fail? The SC-Trim bearings are rated for 53,000 RPM MAX. A 2.87 pulley on a non-revup @ 6600 RPM spins the blower @ 54,365 RPM. On a revup @ 7000 RPM it spins the blower @ 53,605 RPM. If the customer drives his/her car hard most of the time the blower will most likely fail at those RPMs.
I'm sorry to hear about your customers car. I hope he wasn't overspinning the sc. PM me the serial number on his blower, or give me or our service department a call. Hopefully we can resolve this without things getting "messy".

i am NOT julian and hold him in the same low regard as you.with him it was easy to see who he was,he had no self control.you are different, you do it with a smile.

I agree, I don't see how Julian could possibly control his temper and write in a calm and logical fashion. I have an idea of who it is, but they would not be well known to many members of the forum. Coachk, if I send you a PM and guess correctly will you confirm that I am correct?
