Whats the best Supercharger???
Ok so I went through the whole F/I threads with people with superchargers.
Im going to be in the market for a supercharger, but not sure on the reviews with them.
like whats better, and why? Or which ones have problems? or why is the other one not so good?
Vortech
Procharger
Stillen.
What do you guys think? Sorry for the thread, but kinda need all the info I can get if IM going to spend $5k+ on something.
-thanks!

Vortech hands down. Aside from the fact that it makes good power, it is also the most upgradable in terms of head units. Aftermarket impellers, bearings along with vortech supported upgrades gets my votes over any of the other supercharger brands.
These threads = fail, surprised its not locked yet... The answer all depends on two things - who you ask and when do you want your power to kick in...
If you want low end power, and the ability to peel off from a standstill = Stillen
If you want power in the mid to upper rpm range = vortech / procharger
The new HKS kit is money. And i don't much about it. I do know it comes in like 4 or 5 different stages. Obviously each stage gives more power and it just depends on how deep your pockets are.
Vortech kit seams the most popular and seems a tad more reliable than procharger. Procharger is a little easier to install (no tapping of the oil pan required) and you can swap out the bypass valve to whatever you want.
Both kits will be recommended by the people who own them... Hope this helps...
Your "best" supercharger question will never be answered. Too many variables and in each kit, and too many opinions on each kit. Just do your homework and decide which kit will satisfly your F/I craving best...

you can get a version of the vortech (V3 blower) that has its own oil supply so you don't have to tap the block, but it's still better to tap the block anyway from a cooling and maintenance standpoint

+1 on STILLEN, how could I forget that....
