the V3's havent had any problems, and the V2's have been good for a while now as well. if you are buying new, i wouldnt worry about anything. i think that the HKS is way overpriced, but some people need that JDM badge.

why is there so little info on HKS SC on the forum in relation to the Vortechs. It's amazing how much great info is there on Vortech, but very mininal anything on the HKS's. I've done searches and have not been very successful, if you guys have any links, please let me know

That is because there are A LOT more Vortech kits out there than HKS kits. There is only a handful of HKS kits comparted to Vortechs.

HKS stuff is always expensive everyone knows that, but their quality and design are second to none.

If you want to make over 400rwhp go with the Vortech kit, if you want something quite with more of an OEM finish, and are happy with under 400rwhp then go with the HKS kit.

Alright, I'm impatient and bumped the thread to say it's been 2 months. Any new info or pics you can leak on the Kraftwerks kit? Maybe you can at least specify which Rotrex compressor they're going to use, and possibly confirm the rumor that the engine management will be an Up-Rev/Osiris ecu tune?

Thanks,

Will

I'm not sure if this was directed at me, considering it's not particularly intelligible, but if so, then perhaps you didn't understand my bump.

I'm asking if there are any updates that Peter@m1autosport can share about the Kraftwerks kit he is apparently running. There is no Google search result for a kit not on sale yet, and for which Peter seems to be the only who has any knowledge of. Hopefully he has some new information he can leak, or at least verify, about the ecu management and compressor selection.

So, another bump...

I wonder what is taking them so long. It shouldn't take that long to develop a kit.

That's what I thought, but perhaps if UpRev is in fact providing the ECU management, then they've hit some snags. Or they are making absolutely sure it's perfect. I hope for the latter.

I'd guess the economy has put a hold on the project. Getting a kit to perfection does not take that long. Especially on a car that has multiple kits out already in which they can research the do's and don'ts associated with the car prior to prototyping a kit.

Last I heard the Kraftwerks prototype was a belt-eater as they tried to up the power...
