I was same boat as you, pay off the car first? or go FI...humm turbo..SC...ehhh...I changed my mine everyday...( i'm not a rich and Z is my DD..blah blah )
If you really going to pay off your car first, go ahead do it now, stay away from this section, change your sig and No more YOUTUBE for while
Haha, Honestly, i haven't run my car yet, just finished install. But i know i'm excited I can see you that you haven't make your mine yet? (because you still around on FI forum.)
Don't even think about build motor yet, you haven't decide biggest main thing yet.
If you build your motor and lower your compression without going FI wouldn't that take some of the power out of your motor?? then you would be kicking yourself everytime you drive it until you get the turbo kit.
glad to see you are being responsible. Paying off the car is the smart thing to do.

Smart = Yes, but try telling someone "well, at least mine's paid for" after getting walked on the highway.

Surprisingly, the power loss is very modest...about 2-4%. We've done a couple of pre-turbo buildups, and they made near OEM power, even with lower compression.
