Default APS TT and Oil Pressure

Hi Guys,

Can you perhaps tell me what the oil pressure reading should be on APS TT install with rev up oil pump installed when :

- Cold
- Hot
- WOT

Thanks

I have this setup but with the Nismo oil Pump (I believe) and a GTM external oil cooler. Cold pegs the gauge at 120 psi 1100 rpm, Hot 60 psi at 2700 rpm 40 psi at idle and at WOT 4000 rpms 75psi. This is what I am seeing on the factory oil pressure gauge.

Those all seem really high...I don't recall exactly what mine reads in those various situations, but I definitely don't peg the gauge when cold and idle is more like 18-20psi when it's fully warmed up. Cold start is somewhere between 60-80psi

I have a rev-up oil pump and my oil pressure numbers are identical to when the car was stock.

Same as the previous posters, pressure seems same as stock. Is you oil only filled to the low marker on your dipstick? That is the full line on the APS TT pans.

Yes, I only fill to the low mark, I have a built-sleeved motor, with camfered oil passages. That shouldn't raise the pump pressure only lower it maybe.

Well it seems either your stock oil pressure sensor is fubar or your oil pressure is MUCH too high.

Sorry OT, but are you still happy with your X-pipe modified APS exhaust? I want to do something like this with my EVO TT.

I'm thinking about coming out to have GRD do some work and then heading to this meet. Maybe I'll see you there.

I would if my car was on the road...I'm currently waiting for a stronger 3rd and 4th gear for my trans from PAR in australia. If by some miracle I get the car running by then I'll be there.

You have the EVO TT and think it sounds like a 4 banger?? I don't know what EVO TT I got, but mine definitely doesn't sound like that. It's awesome, no rasp, deep and rumbly at low RPMs and very strong at partial throttle and I can barely hear it at WOT.

Brian, he has the APS 2.5" exhaust and had it modified with an x-pipe.

Edit to my previous post.

After driving the car for a day or so I now see that my pressure at idle sits much lower than stock, but raises immediately when I press the gas, my builder says this is normal at my lowered compression. However, I am running a super thin 5w-30 right now during break-in and may get slightly higher pressure when boosing and running 15w-50.
