Default ECU throttle codes

I've been doing some tuning pulls in the car and three times now I've gotten the same ecu codes... 1122 and 1126. The first one is "electronic throttle control actuator" and the second is "throttle control motor relay". One time the car went into limp mode, I cleared the codes and it ran fine. The last time when they came up, the ecu light, slip light and TPS off light were all three lit up when I started the car.

Anyone have any experience with these codes? I'm running the stuff in my sig. Vortech, Utec, DE 600's. I figured I'll start with the UTEC throttle calibration, then the 350 ecu throttle calibration.

Try saving your maps and flashing the unit, the Utec is funny some times

Oh come on Westpak... give me something less labor intensive!!

I just did the Idle air correction and throttle body reset procedures so I'll see how it runs tomorrow. If it comes back again, I'll try the reset. I need to take it down to send in the map selector cable anyway, I've just been putting it off.

That piece of crap only selects maps 1, 5 or 7. that's it, it just cycles back to those 3 maps no matter what the dial says. I called turbonetics and they said basically, "you broke it, but you can send it in and we'll sell you a new one for full price". So I obviously haven't been in a hurry to do that.

If it comes back I'll try the reflash.

So none of that calibratio crap worked. The car was in limp mode this morning with the same codes. It's driving me nuts.

I wonder if the throttle body really is bad? But after I clear the codes, the car runs fine. Accelerator pedal works fine, so I know the throttle body is opening and closing. I don't know, I guess I'll try to reflash.

those codes have nothing to do with the UTEC. its the throttle body itself thats taking a dump. its happened to more than a few people on here. start looking for a new TB is the best advice.

That's kind of what I was afraid of. The percentages in the UTEC range from 0% to 102%. On logger 4 they go from 38 closed to 238 at wot.

I checked out the dealer and it's a $500 part, but you can get a used one for alot less.

The throttle body should be interchangeable between the 350, FX, g35 etc. as long as it's from a DE right?

That price was from courtesy parts online, I haven't called my local dealer. I usually don't bother with them because courtesy usually is better.

Is the throttle relay, the code 1126, also part of the throttle body assembly?

I have the same codes since installing my UTEC and honestly I think the UTEC is causing them. I have owned my car since new (4.5 years now) and never got that code until 3 days after getting the UTEC.

However I did buy a remanufactured TB anyways ($115 shipped from partstrain) but haven't put it on yet. After installing it and I still get the codes and occasional limp mode, the UTEC is getting replaced.

I didn't get the codes until after the UTEC either. But I also cleaned the TB when I installed the UTEC, so maybe I messed it up trying to clean it. (it also has 80k miles on it, so I guess wearing out is a possibility too.)

I called advance and they wanted $330 for a reman, autozone couldn't even get a price for it, but bennett had one for $120. So I picked that up today. I'll put it in the car tonight and let you guys know tomorrow if it worked.

The first time the codes came on I reset and they didn't come back for a week or so. Now it's every time I start the car, and not only is it an SES light, but the car is in limp mode too. Not cool.

Mine starts in limp mode about 1 out of 10 starts (vdc and slip light solid). Shutting it off and waiting 10 secs then restarting it usually does the trick -- never had to clear the ECU to get it started, just to clear the SES/CEL.

I'm so pissed off right now. I'm ready to drive it into a lake. I started it up to leave work and it started in limp mode. Same codes 1122 and 1126. I reset the codes 3 times and they came back and it went into limp mode again. I started it about 10 different times and I can't get it out of limp mode.

I'm so pissed I don't even know what to do next. driving home at 20 mph is disgusting.
