Damn... I too had a spun bearing on my built block awhile back. I had to get the rod replaced and re-blueprint the block with a new crank. Very expensive lesson learned! Now I check the oil every week.

How were you driving prior to the "spirited runs"? Do you have wideband gauges instead of reading through a laptop connected to the Haltech? I am guessing the ditch did some damage to the fuel lines or wideband sensors to cause you to go lean?

Is this the cylinder that the bearing spun? Looks like slight contact with the head.

That's cylinder 5. Pretty sure you'll probably be able to push/pull the rod a little that spun.

If you have bearing material in the cam journals, which its looked like in one pic, then the rod connected to the bearing that spun will be able to be moved side to side by hand. You will see on the crack where the bulk of the damage is. Tough call on the cams - take EVERYTHING to the best/trusted engine shop and have it all evaluated.

Do not offer to buy any parts from the engine shop, that way they will give an honest account of what can be saved and what can't. Good luck moving forward, this was where my stall point was, can't fix things till you know whats broken

Just got back from the shop. They were very confident that everything is going to be able to be resurfaced. They are tearing it down on monday so a final report will come.

I have a question on a part that I cant seem to find where it goes. Its looks like a little screen filter. Take a look at the pics I attached.

Could you go over your parts in this build again. It might belong to an aftermarket piece? Looks like an oil filter screen or even a basic fuel filter screen.
