Default Vortech leak...where?

I've had some sort of leak from my Vortech for quite some time now...it leaves a fine layer of oil around the blower and on the inside of the hood of the car, but it only happen when I drive extremely hard (usually on track days, or when go on a full WOT run)...

I'm pretty sure it's from the Vortech...what I'm unsure about is whether it's coming from the oil return line or from the blower itself...

Anyone ever have these symptoms with their vortech?

I have seen them leak on the seal around the cogbelt pulley on the closest one to the headlight.

That sounds about right. And check inside your intake tubing to make sure it's not leaking in there as well. Mine leaked oil spray into the intake for years.

Ahh...so it's not just me...does that necessarily mean I have blown seals (or at least seals that are beginning to go...)?

Do you mean the gasket for the iso thermal spacer? You shouldn't get an oil leak from there, I have a plenum spacer too...oil dosen't usually get into you plenum (or at least, not that much oil to spray in your car...)

Is the spray you get right around where your blower is?

it must be something leaking onto the belt, i would say your seals are going bad.

Yeah I read about yours...yours was pretty bad...

I've taken my tubing out before to replace my BPV and it's been relatively clean...

I guess this has happened with Vortechs...is this a normal part of owning a Vortech or should I get the blower seals repaired...?

Opps, my mistake. No not an oil leak. I think it leaks when i spray W/M, i can see gasket is wet after i go wot.

But when Hal was tunning my car, we had some leak under the blower, we thought it was first time running blower so, but after couple runs we didn't see any oil tho. Btw, mine is V3 so.

So how's that going, did you gain some hp when you went to meth?

And how long does your 3 quart tank last?

After we put W/M, we saw huge a/f dropped . Hal asked me if i want go for power or safety. I choose safety. It is really depend on how you want to setup, mine isn't even shooting much at all. I still have a half tank left in my car.

When my blower seal went it sprayed copious amounts of oil where your's is hitting the hood as well as up and thru the hood opening onto the top of the left fender.. A major seal leak during very spirited driving..
