and I concur with Pharmd...dynapack numbers here in California tend to be on the high side....
Hey, we should get all the people with Vortech's and 2.87 pulleys with stock block engines together on the forum so we can discuss how our engines are holding up with 12~13 psi of boost...might get good ideas to help the longevity of the stock engines with this pulley...
Check the graph again, it's hitting 11psi. The pressure is read on the left side, the right sided, where it reads 14 is the A/F ratio side. A/fs are great, by the way, but the boost is maxing at about 11 psi; as it should for that pulley.
Great numbers, by the way.
ya, your right... the boost goes to around 10.5psi.

My pictures aren't very clear and I will post some digital images of this just as soon as Tuan emails them to me but it is hitting 14psi. The manifold pressure line is the light blue one and the a/f is the green line.

i do understand where 'caneZMD' is comming from, right side says Air fuel ratio. But isn't boost graph suppose to keep build till higher RPMS?
chefj
Trust me guys I wish I was making this power from only 11 psi. but I'm looking at the graph right here and I'd bet my left nut that the 14 psi is really true.

I do believe you, that's how i understood too when i look at your graph. I just want to make sure if i read right your graph.
the gtm pulley mod really helps squeeze every little bit out of the blower and remember 14psi is probably for only a few hundred rpms way up top
Oh yeah belt slip wasn't an issue so thanks for buying that GTM pulley upgrade haha and my sandblasting of the pulley sure didn't hurt Yea it makes 14psi even if only for a split second.
I'm not doubting u but please correct me if I'm wrong... isn't the PSI on the LEFT side of the graph and A/F ratio on the Right side? Therefore, for u to hit 14psi u will need to be at the part I marked a X on your dyno sheet.

The GTM pulley is a great mod. I never get any belt slip at all, but I'm not seeing anywhere near 14psi. In fact I'm at 11psi with pretty much the same setup as the OP except I have headers and 550cc injectors and he has meth and 600cc. We both make around the same power with a 3 psi difference. I guess as long as he is tuned safe then it's no big deal. I'm just trying to figure out the 3 psi difference.

Whoa! Now I see what you mean! You might be right on this. Damn I'm going to need to change my sig and everything! lol I will have to verify this with my gauge. Tuan was telling me 14 psi yesterday so I just took his word for it and it just wasn't computing until you pointed that out. I'm actually very happy about this though

I think I am making 11 psi. I was looking at the graph backwards this whole time. I feel like such an idiot lol.

It's ok, don't feel too bad you're still making good power. You'll want more in a couple of months; trust me it never ends. I'm starting to entertain the thought of nitrous just for that extra tq on those special occasions.

im am the previous owner of this vortech the OP has on his car. i was hitting 12 to 14psi depending on weather conditions with OP's exact vortech setup.

I think they are right Jason, if you look at my graph the air/fuel is right by where the boost line peaks and it looks like 14 psi. The boost pressure numbers are on the left side of the graph and it shows 11. I think I recall Tuan saying 14psi yesterday and just assumed this to be true and my eyes were looking at the air/fuel on the right and confirming the 14 when I should of been looking to the left side. I do recall you saying you hit 13 so I have to wonder. I'll just have to watch my boost gauge to know for sure. Wish I had a peak hold on it as I don't want to be starring at my boost gauge when I'm going ***** out, maybe I'll just mount my camera and record it I can't thank you enough for selling me such a great supercharger though! Its brought a smile to my face more times than I can count and I can't wait to get out there with my new setup!
