Default HKS CAMP 2 question

If I already have the HKS VPRO EMS and the HKS Pressure Sensor Super Wide Range (3 kg/cm2) + harness, will it display on my screen with only the camp 2 hooked up to the VPRO? I see on the HKS website that there is an optional IF boost sensor + harness but isn't that for non- FCON users that would like to see their psi displayed on the screen?

I know for sure that when the AFK is hooked up with the camp 2 it displays the A/F ratio on the screen without buying another option. So VPRO + camp 2 users please let me know. thanks.

I'm reading in the Camp 2 manual and I'm going to state it as exactly as it says:

The input value and/or the value of each Fcon sensor can be monitored.

If I remember right, it can see manifold pressure which should come from the fcon. The add on sensor is a boost sensor like the Defis.

One of the parameters the camp2 can see is mani pressure, the boost parameter says "if boost" manifold pressure must be from the fcon.

Also, the new AFK can't connect to the camp2, I assume the afk can connect to the fcon which in turn can display data to the camp2. This is how the older knock amp can be monitored on the camp2.

gotcha.

So without the IF boost option ill only see the intake pressure in Kpa on the camp2 screen instead of psi.

I think... I am not sure..... Sam @ GTM told me that the latest V3.3 does not need the IF to display boost info on the CAMP2 display. I don't have it hooked up yet. I am having it installed on Monday. I can tell you then or you can PM Sam or Geroge at GTM. They will know.

It can display "Intake Manifold Pressure" w/out IF boost (through the f-con), and it will be in psi as long as you have selected USA units on setup screen. If you want it to say boost, you need the IF for the older vpro's, not sure on the latest.

yes, according to hksusa.com: version. 3.3 has direct inputs for fuel pressure, Oil pressure and Oil temperature, but not boost.

Correct, the CAMP2 will read it from the Vpro, so long as you have the f-con harness for the CAMP2.

This is what I used to monitor "boost" before my IF and IF sensors were received and installed. Now, I can view both intake manifold pressure and IFboost displays. The IFboost reads just a tad bit higher than the IMP, however, not sure if its the placement of the pressure sensors or what.

thanks for the help jonny. Is the f-con harness for the camp2 the cord that looks like a phone cord?
