It still stresses it A LOT.

Any time you have traction the diff is trying to rotate in some way or another.......enough traction and enough tq and it will eventually break regardles of speed

I'll be getting one installed as soon as i get car over there

Mike I personally would take the Nismo cover off and mill the necessary areas to accommodate the brace. Would only take a couple mins once setup. Also are you running the solid mounts?

I finally got around fixing this and then some..

I had my shop make differential bushings out of urethane. Then I also had a machine shop make a differential cover bolt out of stronger material. Now, my differential housing has a minimal movement. It seemed like my differential housing bushings were all shot to hell, so the movement was putting too much stress on the bolt.
Here is a shot of my urethane bushing:

I also inspected all my other rubber bushings and they weren't looking too good. So, this is what I did...

I'm absolutely sold on the pillow ball setup. It does NOT make any noises, and handling and cornering has drastically improved over stocker...

Anyone have pics comparing the nismo finned cover to a stock cover?

Here are pics of the brace installed.

So I assume the SP Brace is an easier way to support the Diff rather than replacing the rubber support with an aluminum one which requires removal of the diff and pressing out the old rubber one (which I heard is a pita) to install. I have wheel hop issues at the track and was told that this is caused by the diff not being supported buy the single rubber bushing (mine has even ruptured). Would this eliminate wheel hop? I'm going to call SP tomorrow but does anyone have an idea on pricing of this support? I'm sure there will be some added driveline noise but at least this looks easy to take off if I ever return the car to stock and want to sell it.

You need to drill two holes through your rear suspension frame. Not too difficult if you have the tools.

Is this even on their site? I can't seem to find any info on it. Maybe it was just a one-off?

I hope a large template is included so there is no guessing where to drill. I can't imagine mis-aligning those big holes and screwing up your entire rear sub-frame. Ouch!

I would rather do that then try and ruplace the rubber bushing with an aluminum one. Does he reduce wheel hop? How much?
