^thats some solid power who tuned it, ftibbs got 430/420tq at 10.5. the gtm upgrade has been pushed to 550 but i honestly think that the stock turbo can get more power out of it esp if you replace the flex section to the filter with hard pipe. i ran out of fuel with the stock aps injectors and was stock blockin it so we called it quits, but i would talk to driven1, dave replaced the hotside to a slightly larger one(Alot cheaper than gtm upgrade however said he didnt see any results) and still got 475/550tq from what i remember.

but have you made any higher hp? sence you got the gtm upgrade?

well i just got the car done a last friday the 16oct so not a whole lot of experience yet with the kit. but i bought the car used with the kit on it and been in the shop for the last few weeks for a new turbo cause the turbo was blown and replaced utec with new Haltech Plantuim Pro EMS, plus some other little things the car needed replaced. one being the oil pump for the aps kit, got the oil pump from horse power freaks turbo kit for the M3(3gal. a minute was what i told it was rated to) and that should satisfy the turbos needs.

Driving-
doesnt really build boost in 1st
holds boost at 10 till around 5,000 rpms. then drops to about 4-5 at redline.

so far problems i have are
-i am leaking some oil from some where around the bov or intake area(not from engine but from turbo kit(i was told that that was just all the oil that was in being thrown out was old oil from the blown turbo that has yet been blown out) but that is being kept at a very close eye by me for the mean time.

so far love the kit, just wish it had a bigger turbo houseing to be able to supply more boost being i have a built engine, but not power hungry just yet

Default update with some bad news :/

well made my second trip to the performance shop i take my car to on my oil leak problem (first time i was told it was nothing, just old oil, well i had a hard time believeing that it was nothing), had the car for just shy of 500 miles and had gone threw 3.5 quarts of oil. and got a found out yesterday that it was acualy a problem (big suprise *Sarcastic*)

problem was:
- the oil return line was (by previesly owner) taped to low in the aps oil pan and was not letting oil return freely from the turbo and eventually blew my seals on my new turbo and was flooding my intake with oil.

- now i am getting new return lines and some other little things for the car, but they say there is still hope for the turbo(i highly doubt that as its is leaking oil like crazy but what ever i know my self i need to get a new rebuild on the turbo )

well i will let you guys know later how it goes.

I don't think it has anything to do with the return being taped too low. It is more than likely your scavenge pump. If the scavenge pump is running, it will have at least 20psi pressure on the output port. This is more than enough to overcome any pressure you may be building up in your crank case.

Insted of getting an oil pan spacer, I decide to tap my upper oil pan:

This is just above the "MAX" oil level. Never had any issues, driving all of this summer and using a scavenge pump.

I am not sure how APS has it setup, but you may want to look in to a small reservoir to mount to te turbo drain. What I found (when I got the car running) is that once the car is turned off, the oil still drains from the oil supply line. With the turbo sitting lower, the oil has no way out, and eventually starts leaking past the seals. Once that was taken care of oil mist in the IC piping was gone. This is the small tank I am refering too:

+1 on something being up with scavenger pump. could be eletrical, mechanical or something like the wrong restrictor. the aps pump do go bad over time but i got over 30k on mine and its starting to leak a little.

although i remember from back in the day people having issues with the aam oil spacer due to the return being too low but i think people have worked around that and that would be lower than where the orginal owner tapped

my pump tent to leak sometimes. but thank god ( knock on wood ) never faced any oil issues. everytime i do oil change ( 3k miles ) i do a full check up on the scavenger pump and make sure its operating right.

any pre-signs of it getting screwed?? to avoid any issues in the future ??!!

These scavenge pumps are built well these days and do last a long time. That is why you see so many people trying different things/trbo locations. The pumps are reliable, despite what some poeple may believe.

I have one as well, bought it from a guy for very cheap. It came with his APS TT Corvette kit. I payed $200 for it, then found out that it is a $500 pump.

^ if ur going to replace the pump, dont use the weldon pumps, apparently there modified marine use pumps and are not ideal for turbo apps esp considering the price. lemme see if i can pull up the better brand

get the turbowerx exa

I think everything is just a modified "something else" pump.

Here's what I got

I believe that those ar diaphram pumps, and would stay away at all costs. The Turbowex pumps seem to be top of the line, if my ever goes it will be replaced with a Turbowex pump.
