Default For those who have used their windshield washer reservoir for Water/Meth injection

My Snow Performance Stage 2 Boost Kit has just arrived, and I realized that it did not include the bulkhead that they recommend using when you use your windshield washer reservoir to hold your meth mix...

I was wondering if it would be possible to use the 3/8” NPT – ¼” Tube
Straight Fitting that comes with the kit (see pic) instead of the bulkhead part, and just thread a hole into windshield washer reservoir and use the fitting as your outlet for the meth mix to the pump...

How thick and sturdy is plastic at the bottom of the windshield washer reservoir?

The OEM reservoir is not flimsy. Be careful where you drill that in though. The bottom of the reservoir is not exactly flat either, and on the inside there are some walls that you might not expect.

Its easy. Why do you guys make everything sound so hard lol. Just drill a slightly smaller hole and screw it in and the threads will tap it. Put some silicone on the threads to seal. I used high temp "gray stuff" just because I had it around. Worked fine and has never leaked.

I see you used the bulkhead like Snow recommends...what are your thoughts on using the 3/8” NPT – ¼” Tube
Straight Fitting instead that comes with the kit...? (see first post)

And forgive me for noobing...what is a "baffle"? Like reinforcement?

Don't see why it wouldn't work. Now that I think about it I do recall looking down into my tank before I drilled and made sure I didn't hit a baffle. Baffles are there for support and to reduce the sloshing around of the fluid.

Do you have to take the tank out of the car to look down into it?

Or...I can use your picture as a general reference of where to drill

And how did you guys initially drain the tank? Using the blow-into-the-hose method?

u cant look down into the tank, so you have to drill blind. to drain, i just pulled the pump out and poured into a bucket.

Or just drill your hole and it should empty lol

I took my tank out but I bet if you use mine as a reference that should work too.

SO here I was, ready to follow 350z400whp template and drill a hole in my windshield washer tank...but it's in the back and hard to access without taking the tank out, so I decided to use the bottom part of the tank...

I still got pretty lucky and didn't have too much trouble drilling the hole...just slather on the goop and go...however, the bottom of the tanks are definitely not as sturdy as the back of the tank...

Had to move the oil cooler, but it's ok; at least I don't have the oil cooler held on with zip ties anymore, lol...
