Default Turbonetics ST

I am getting a kit by the end of summer when funds come in from work and i was just wondering what setups most people have on there non rev up motors.

mostly what i am wondering is if people are using cats or not.

also i have not been able to see a good picture of the exhaust system and i was wondering if you do have the cats if they are before or after the turbo.

thanks in advance.

nobody buys that kit anymore.. the kit is inferior and is a waste of money if you're not getting a good deal

well i can get it 40% off threw a sponsership deal and i already found out the answer to my question but why do you guys think that powerlab is a better kit?
or what other kit should i go with?

and im wanting a daily driver car out of this with as little down time as possible for install and this kit seems pretty easy to install 2to 3 day build (because the ecu shipping)
and thats it. i don't really care about max power im not going to be dragging this car everyweek i don't care if a corvette can beat me or not i just like ****ing up mustangs bolt on mustangs days which this kit could easily do.

You don't need turbo to beat mustangs

+123456789 10 ON THE POWERLABS KIT. MOST COMPLETE SINGLE TURBO KIT ON THE MARKET. GREAT POWER, GREAT LOOK. AND NOT TO DIFFICULT TO INSTALL.

AND +1 YOU DONT NEED A TURBO TO BEAT A MUSTANG. U NEED TO BE LOOKING FOR VETTES AND PORCHE'S AFTER YOUR TURBO'D MY FRIEND

Do not expect reliability from a turbonetics kit and little down time.
Pretty much a oxymoron if you think that the turbonetics kit will do that for you.
I hope you like not having AC

ok well just to let you know a bolt on 350z can't beat a tuned bolt on mustang.

and another thing is that the AC problem with the turbonetics has been fixed for like 6 months now so that is not a problem.

i am going to be running stock boost 8psi or maybe even lower and keeping it the AFR very rich and i would never want more then 400hp i can controll myself unlike everyone else on here who likes to crank there boost controllers to higher hp then the kit was designed for.

yes i have heard that the turbonetics heat soaks and slow roasts the engine but could this be fixed with a colder thermostat and a bigger intercooler?

the only difrence the PL turbo has is it is also water cooled (if i read correctly) which seems to be a pain in the *** and it has larger piping and larger intercooler (mostly for bigger boost) (which i will not be using because i am staying at 8psi or under)

and idk how well power labs tech support is but turbonetics has alwasys had good support and a whole websight made just for support which seems like it would be extreamly helpfull.

if you wanna go cheap and you claim to have 40% sponsorship from turbonetics then buy the kit form there... if you want something superior in every way over your current pick then the community here has given you enough advice already.....your choice weather you wanna listen to it or not...most 18 year old have a problem at that...do you?

Keep searching..... FYI TN discontinued the 350z turbo kit btw lol

Ya, they have good support cuz their products suck so they have to make up somewhere. Why would you need support if you have a perfectly working product. Hint hint.
