Kinetix Velocity Manifold + Vortech Numbers
Just had the new Kinetix Velocity Manifold installed and tuned. Below is the Dyno Graph. The red line is the previous dyno, the blue is with the Kinetix.
The old tune was 351rwhp, the new one is 363.7rwhp, so the kinetix gained me 12.7rwhp.
The tunes took place on the same dyno with the same tuner under similar conditions with about 9 months in between.
The first tune was also with 19" Oem Rays, the second was with 20" Enkei L-SR wheels. It is documented that larger wheels hurt dyno numbers, so I think the mid range gains may have been more with the old wheels on. I can definitely feel the difference in the mid-low range now. I haven't had a chance to really open her up yet.
My tuner, Dave, suggested that I could see much larger gains if I raised the redline because up top is really where the Kinetix makes gains.

It is the new version of the SSV called the Velocity Manifold

Other observations, I have noticed the sound is really nice, it looks really sharp, and I can really feel a difference off the line.

I love how their site still claims 30whp gains for this piece of ****.
No one should support a completely exploitative company like Kinetix. They have put out sub par products for too long and stolen people's money with false claims to have a meager gain matter just because - finally - they aren't losing power with their design.
do not support this company, especially at the price point they are raping you for.

If you like it though, that is all that matters.

I wouldn't touch a kinetix product with a ten foot pole. Their products are garbage and I litterly laugh when some opens their hood and the kinetix plenum is looking back at me.
Complete garbage.
edit:
looking at the curves. I would have to think the loss in HP and TQ between 5500 and 6000 rpms would be more noticable than the gain you see at the top end.?.?

FWIW, on the same dyno, same pull session, I saw +-7 hp or so. Those 2 curves could easily be close to the noise of the dyno. October vs July weather could make up the rest of the difference.
Also, a more aggressive tune could easily make 12 hp on the top end just by bumping the timing .5-1 degree.
I would jump to any conclusions yet.
regardless, thats a nice curve

Also note that in between tunes, I added 20 inch wheels. http://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-dy...rims-dyno.html
Based on the results in the thread above, the wheels could be responsible for a significant power loss before I added the Kinetix.
My experience validates that. One I put on the 20's I really felt a big loss, especially between 2000-4500 rpms. Now it feels much stronger than when I added the wheels.
Also, I did NOT have a spacer for the first tune, the plenum was stock. The first tune was done in very similar weather conditions, about 80 degrees at night.
I know that this is not a strictly scientific study, and with variables like time between tunes and larger wheels for the second tune, you should take the results with a grain of salt. But seeing as how these are the only before/after results available right now (I've searched), I thought they were not bad.
My tuner said that he has had problems with the Crawford and FI, and that with the what he learned doing this tune, he would recommend the Kinetix to FI people for the gains up top where most DE engines fall flat. He also said that if I did a flash to raise the redline I would see even more gains.
For those who think it is complete garbage, it is very well made, and my butt dyno sure appreciates the added performance after what was lost with the new wheels. I really feel a huge difference down low.

that dyno assumes you have a significant increase in wheel weight as well, as in up to 15-20 pounds per corner. Did you out on some 20" chrome rims? Of course you didnt, so there is no reason to think they dyno would be any different.
That wheel data is very skewed. Throw on some decent forged 20"s and i bet there will be no discernible difference. Hydrazine knew its was an extreme case, but thats the only way to show a difference.

I really didn't think they would make much difference, that is, until I drove around with the new wheels and was like "WTF, I need more power to offset the crappy wheels"

And the sound is really great.
Has anyone else dyno'd this Kinetix yet?
