So at last, the Aug 2009 issue of Modified Magazine reveals the results of the Tuner Shootout that Forged Performance competed in back in April 2009.

11 tuner shops brought out their latest and greatest hardware to compete. Against some serious heavy hitting competitors like the GST Motorsports and Crawford Performance, Forged finished on the podium in 3rd place with our modestly modified GT-R. Special thinks to Will Taylor, for co-driving with me, all the way from Atlanta. The 28 hr non-stop drive was epic.

Grab a copy if you all get a chance. There is a very interesting backstory at the event, and lots of drama and weather related mayhem. It's the largest issue of the year for Modified Magazine.

i got the mag....the rundown was like this.....

GST - 320 pts
VIMI/FULL RACE - 308pts
FORGED - 295pts
HASPORT - 293pts

he placed 3rd! with a "crappy" 13.58 @103.8mph ........aparently the ecu and speed sensors were all f'ed up....im sure sharif can chime in why this happened....

 

a little birdie told me that the tire slipped on the wheel due to too little pressure...

Thanks Bert. Believe it or not, that was the one and only time my car has seen the 1/4 mile. It's focus has always been road courses, but I will try to get out it on the strip soon. Many of our customer cars, in the low 11's range with much fewer mods than my car. The turbo upgrade car's we've tuned all run 10.5-10.8 ET's....132mph+

 

Sick, good info to know when I start seeing more of them "out"

 

There was a private track rental up at whatever that track is in Southern Maryland, (sorry I forget the name) and they had about 6 or 7 GT-Rs come out there for it. They were all barely modded, say mid pipe, tune, ect and they were all running from 10.8 to 11.1 at 128-130 mph. I think they had 4 of them run 10.8s. They are amazing cars and very fast!
