Default S&R Performance

well i live in tampa, florida and have an 04 touring 350z and last yr decided to go F.I. i choose the powerlab gt35r kit because it had the best components for the price. after the install the car made 394hp 330tq....well needless to say i have had her for a around a yr but it started to feel like my car was getting slower or a more frequent bogged down feeling... So i brought my car to Bobby at S&R Performance in Tampa, Florida. the guys there are really knowledgeable and were able to get my car in the shop quickly. the guys diagnose the z and find she has many exhaust leaks, needed a diff spring in the bov and had a bad wastegate. my bov and wastegate are both tial from the powerlab kit. So i had bobby replace everything and fix the leaks, in addition he retuned my car for me using the utec and was able to get me 417hp and 406tq. PLUS the driveability of the car is much better, half throttle is also way better. i just wanna say THANKS to Bobby and the guys at S&R for getting everything fixed and getting it done quickly. i would reccomend these guys to anyone! here is my dyno graph...

why does your trq take such a dump above 5k. Looks like the timing could be improved to get a flatter trq curve. The turbo is no where near running out of steam so it should be steady up to at least 6000 rpms.

your #'s should really be 417/440ish

His peak torque is 444.4 at 4300. So he picked 40 more foot pounds of torque in the midrange. We tried to add timing at end of the run, but kept running into knock.

If we had the opportunity I would have used Osiris to adjust some cam timing and keep the throttle body wide open at end the run.

The main thing is we are making more power on less boost.

What kind of exhaust are you running? Possibly some restrictions downstream? All of the single turbo kits seem to show the power peaks at about 5700-6000 rpm but the Powerlabs kits is usually one of the smoother ones.

WOW a tial WG went bad? thats a 1st i heard, but if thats the case you can and should get that replaced by manufacturer's warranty btw .
ON the spring BOV, its not that big of a deal at all(ask jeffie), but either way i am guessing you wont be raising the boost any time soon(or any build engines in horizon), otherwise you will be needing the stronger spring(ask marra).
I am glad you got the exhaust leaks issues sorted either way and back to having fun with the car

BTW how does DYNOmite compares to DynoJet?
+1 on the exhaust question(sig says HKS, is that HKS True dual

no worries... power seems conservative.... just threat engine nice, dont do too many crazy 6th-gear-all-the-way-to-the-redline-pulls.
If you do change your mind at any point on a build VQ, they are not that expensive any longer.... and all youd need would be a basic bottom end, and everything else on the kit you should be good for ~500whp, i think if you got it a year ago, you probably have the big original 4" core FMIC.....
