Default Custom Top Mount Turbo

I have the TN kit on my 5AT 350z and im using it for a guide to build a motor that uses a top mounted turbo still but is able to produce around 650whp. I have looked at turbos like the GTK650, T04Z, and GT37r but I cant make up my mind just yet. Also, is there a company that someone can suggest to fab up a better up-pipe and down pipe? I looked at the SFR T-67 setup but was just seeing if there was any other ideas I may not have considered yet. Any input would be helpful.

??? have you looked at the "Powerlab" kit using the GT35R or the GT37R???? they have a very nice system. Maybe you could incorporate some of there design. I know "jeffie" installed his own kit and has a lot of install pics.

I like both the PowerLab and SFR kits. I guess I just always wanted to know I had something under my hood that was different from most other 350's. I may just have to bite the bullet and buy one of the kits but for the time being im still shopping for ideas.

there's only 1 way to mount those turbos. so either you custom make your piping or just buy a pre-fab kit. In the end it will all be the same.

I agree with you str8 on the piping aspect. In your opinon between the two which kit has the better plumbing for the top mount?

they are both the same. 2.5" up pipe and 3" down pipe, both routed the same. It just depends on whether you want a ball bearing garret turbo or not.

For one thing i'm pretty sure that the GTK650 will meet your power goals, also theres only so many ways yo skin a cat, theres only a few ways to top mount a large frame single on the Z.

I'd look at what Quaman did with his setup.

Default powerlab...

Ive been looking to go FI possibly, and have most of my work done AT Intense Power, (makers of Powerlab, or subsidiary,partner..something like that, etc).... in fact it'll be back there next week for plenum work. Just happened acrossed this post, and thought Id add an opinion. I always like to know if a place Im planing on spending money at is legit and worth the investment... unless you already have friends over there, talk to Pete.. has never given me bad advice and seems to be honest as hell.

ive seen thier parts, the cars ( flawless 1100 hp G, 1200 hp supra), thier installs, and thier shop. Its clean, always full of cars, and never over priced. They always seem to go with what works versus what sells etc. I trust thier quality intrinsically. Just my $.02...
