That's what I'm thinking. The Osiris is £450 and the haltech is £1300 tuned. A massive difference if the Osiris will do the job.

Does any one know ofthe splitsecond box has any form of knock control?

IMHO I would get UPREV's software and add an additional device to watch just the 5k+ knock. Osiris doesn't require as much PSI to make the same power as the add-on modules it seems. So you get more power with lower PSI which imho is safer.

considering the experience your tuners will have with FI 350s (I guess the Osiris one is RS tuning), I'd 1 million % go with the Haltech and would get it tuned by someone who has experience with a FI Zed (and Haltech). it's your engine that's at stake after all, are you prepared to eat the cost of a complete rebuild if/when something goes bang? If not, spend the money on a proper EMS tuned by someone with proven record....

Yes RS tuning is who I'll be looking at as they now offer Osiris. Dyno demon is my local tuner who has experence with haltech but not with FI zeds. FI zeds are so rare in the uk not many tuners have had experence with them.

I'll give Abbey motorsport a ring and have a chat with them and see what they recomend.

Abbey has worked on FId UK zeds before IIRC (was it Stephen Grant's Vortech, even Dorian's possibly?) so they could be a good port of call for Osiris, unsure if they deal with the Haltech though.

ahah very true... Mark's of the opinion that 99% of stuff one reads on forums is rubbish.... he might be a bit OTT with that statement but he does talk a lot of sense most of the time...

Just get a Utec and DWKS 600cc's with a Walboro Fuel Pump and call it a day. I have had this setup for well over 10,000 miles and my car runs like stock (it's all in the tuner). I'm pushing 11psi. Putting a Haltech in there is like custom heat wrapping an intake, its overkill.

That's because you've not tried it yet. Both Osiris and Haltech are better solutions than a UTEC - if for no other reason, that TurboXS does not support the UTEC any longer.

I would recommend talking to Hal at Injected Performance (PM Hal@IP). He is a licensed UpRev Osiris tuner and a Haltech dealer. He can give you the low down on both and the package deal he offers (for both together).

ya but what else in the UTEC needs supporting? It does its job just fine for a 700$ EMS.

i do say that with a Haltech wired up now waiting for my new motor though
