^+1, nitrous is the best bang for the buck power adder. Its very safe on the stock block. guys are running up to 125 shots with a good tune. That will walk most of the stock block TT kits pretty easily for under a grand

Ok well, it's not a "dream", I just need some good info on a decent turbo that wont break the bank PERIOD. A guy I know had a GT40 and asked me if I wanted to buy it. So I was pretty much asking you guys if anyone had ever put one on there Z or had any thoughts on it....now I know.

Now what I need to know is what you guys SUGGEST I go with.

And as for the spray....I really don't see it happening.

PM Darren over at Intense......those guys are the ones that run that size single turbo's....He will help you go in the right direction.

I really hope you have a built motor if you are looking at something that size.....good luck.....remember....take lots of pic and post

If you prefer a single turbo over twin turbos, I'd recommend the standard PowerLab GT35R turbo kit. It spools nicely and will make 370-400whp at 6-8PSI on a stock motor. The nice thing about the kit is that it has the capability to produce over 600whp if/when you decide to build your motor. The kit also comes complete with fuel system and UTEC engine management.

There are quite a few PowerLab install threads now by guys who installed themselves and seem to be happy with the kit. Check out those threads for their reviews and further info to help you decide.

a dream that you are going to have a gt40r turbo kit on your car...since you are not looking to "break the bank" and only 40-50hp more...
and yeah when you say you need crazy injectors to reach 1000hp...overlooking so many other impratnat factors tells me you were never serious about the gt40, soo i guess that just really bs...or dream hoping.... dont take offence, its common that n00bs start thinking with projects that are way over their head...but thats part of learning(i highly suggest the sticky thread FI for N00Bs ).

good luck with your stillen kit, or s/c setup.... though honestly for the gains you look for, just stay n/a... of see if you can find a deal on a used TN kit, thougth thats even too much for your needs based on what you specified on this thread.... probably best is you just say what your budget really is(this is very important to figure out your choice)..... but from a turbo kit i would expect ~140whp more over stock... not just 50hp
