Will oil on MAF cause a P2135 code?
A week ago the oil pump on my STS kit fails. I fixed the problem and everything is working/boosting normal again. A few days later I get the P2135 code and my car goes into limp mode. When I clear the code the problem goes away, but randomly occurs again next day or a few days later. I pull off the MAF and see that it is covered in oil, which was caused by the failed oil pump previously. So if oil gets onto the MAF sensor, will this cause the P2135 code? Or is this only a malfunctioning throttle body/TPS problem?
I know oil in the maf is not good. I would start by cleaning all piping and intercooler so when you do get it figured out. You will not blow the left over oil in the piping all over the maf again. And get a repeat problem.
Haven't had time lately, but I will be cleaning out the intercooler and piping. I just hope that the oil on the MAF sensor is what was causing the problems and not something else. Getting the P2135 code is no fun
