Hi guys just a small update because my thread was bumped up!
Ive selected the machine/work shop to use after alot of thought. I have also 100% decided on what internals ill be using.
Once ive have ordered the internals the lot can be dropped off for maching!

A big box came today :ninja:
Sorry for the amount of pic's but i want a few good ones as ill never (hopfully ) see these parts again when the engine is built!
Pic's.
1.
2.
3. Just a bit stronger than the stock ones! :P Eagle rods are rated to 150HP per rod, the stock ones tend to fail at anything over 70HP per rod!!
4.
5. A little bit of an arty B&W one! lol..
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11. The CP piston's are a work of art. They look far to nice to be deep inside the motor!
12.
13.
14.
15.
16.
17.
18.
19.
20.
Last one is the forged wrist pin that comes with the pistons. With all the ARP bolts and forged parts I may rev the motor higher if its still making power at the redline? May be rev it to 7-7.5RPM? Not sure yet.

Hi Tim,
good to see the parts are trickling through!!
One question: wouldn't revving the engine higher than stock without any headwork (valves, springs etc) be extremely dangerous??

Small update!! lol..
Few more pic's and some bad news that turned out good!
And about the bad stuff, Mark rang me to tell me the car was running ok for over 1 hour but then started to burn coil packs?? Abbey tracked the problem down to this little sucker. The grounding clip for the wire harness was not making a good connection. As far as i know this has solved the problem.
Again soon going for its break in map!!
Ill update soon guys.

Not very good vid's but you get the point. :P Exhaust is loud to say the least! :blush2:
The vid's are off my iphone and dont really show the pop's/backfires to well and sorry for the clicking noise the phone was wedged in the pax head rest lol.
Its going to be too loud when the boost is doubled and the rev limit is 6.6K instead of the 4.7k I have at the moment! lol
Oh and watch them in HD the sound is better!

Picked up a little gadget I've wanted for a while today. A cheap and cheerful SPL meter.
Its a calibrated one so I should be quite close to what you would get as a track side reading. The readings were taken at 50cm away at a 45 degree angle.
As you all know the car is noisy  I think it's a bit quieter now its been mapped but its still loud as hell really. I have no idea what sort of drive by SPL it would make as its louder on boost than just rev'ed with no load too.
Anyway, First vid is a cold start still on high idle around 1500 rpm.

This vid is a hot idle around 1000 rpm.

This vid is 4000 rpm (noise test for thunder road!)

This vid is 4750 rpm the standard noise test RPM (3/4 max rev's) The SPL meter is set on peak and hold so the 112+ decibels was the max it read.

This is as above but on the other exhaust pipe.

So as you can see I have failed all the UK noise tests!!! :blush2: :bangin:
Im looking to add 4" diameter magnaflow silencers but Im not sure how long they would need to be to get me down under the 105dB limit most UK tracks have?? I was looking at 14" long but Im now thinking more like there 22" long version? Any one have any ideas??
Also I have finally got round to getting the dyno's plots. There not very good pic's as there just quick phone photo's but you get the picture.
