I hate be the search...guy but really.... I bet even google has a ton of info on high vs low compression as well as what applications each is suited for and the effects of boost/nitrous on each.

Lower compression engines respond better to boost/nitrous. High compression works typically is best for N/A or low boost small shot applications. If I was doing your build I would go with a 9.0:1 compression ratio.

If you plan on staying with the charger u might get away with a 9.5 or even 10:1 Comp Ratio... But if u have the slightest idea of going for more power down the road just get the 9:1 Comp ratio!!!

I would say skip the nitrous and go with a higher compression motor. If you really want to spray then you need to lower that compression for sure. However I see your goal is 400whp, in that case you don't need to build your motor at all.

For 400whp, spend your money on engine management and a good tune. If you decide to build, I would keep compression up around 10 rather than 8.5 or 9:1 for your setup on 3.12 pulley.
