Default Return Fuel System

Is a return fuel system needed to achieve 525whp with a walboro fuel pump, 800cc injectors and Haltech E-mgmt? If so, are there other advantages to having an return system?

Sure you can make it. Really need to watch fuel pressure and see whats going on based on your setup.

Generally on non-return setups, the fuel pressure will be less stable. And the harder you push the system, the worse that gets.

you dont need it, but its a nice option. You car will tune out just fine without it, if thats what you are asking.

the main advantage is the 1:1 fuel pressure regulator so you can increase fuel pressure to compensate for the the boost pressure.

On paper, if you had enough boost pressure you could completely counteract your fuel pressure.

Achieving the power isn't the concern. Getting it to idle civilly, is the only issue with large injectors and no return.

altered atmosphere/cj motorsports make return systems fairly cheap and its a nice safeguard when pushing that setup

Well considering the money you've probably/are going to spend to try to achieve 525whp .... another $500 for the AAM Stg 1 RFS wouldn't made much of a difference??? just a thought....

generally speaking, skimping on any part of the fuel system is asking for trouble.

As everyone hassaid, its probably a good idea. Unless Scott Bush is your tuner and your motor is being built in a dirt floor shack in the middle of nowhere

if i remember correctly there was one florida tuner who swore by a return less system with big injectors to make up for it. we all know how his cars have turned out....

I 100% agree with Nexx. If you don't have enough money to go, atleast go with stage 0. Check out CJM or GTM.

instead of having fuel dead end at the fuel rails, like stock, the fuel flows thru the rails and back to the gas tank.

That way you can control the fuel pressure and increase fuel pressure as you increase boost on a FI car

its a direct bolt-on kit that converts the current factory “return less” fuel system to a full return fuel system. The “return less” system in the 350Z & G35 offers minimal adjustment to the amount of fuel the engine can receive. This type of system is cheaper for the factory to manufacture and works okay in a factory naturally aspirated setup, but has several draw backs when you go to forced induction.

Dammm i love to read slideFox's forced induction for nooooob!

Like others said, if you can afford it, get it. The tune will be way less exact nor consistent without it.
