Im not on the defense btw, I am looking for a better manifold than the Cosworth, hoping you (CJM) would be almost done/ providing that.. But after today, Im kinda disappointed in the route it went for price being over 4-5k IMO..
It took me about 10 hours to redo my harness. It could probably be done quicker... I was just doing it in my spare time here and there over a 3 week or so period. 200-300 I think for a custom intake pipe taking off where you start behind the passenger headlight. PL kits would just need the pipe cut at the elbow and bead rolled, so probably $50-100 there. The hood work would be easy, just some trimming of the support structure. It clears the basic hood line, just no BS underneath it.

Maybe around spring, depends on if the HR and VHR uppers are compatible.. we sorta neglect the poor HR... we are skipping straight to the VHR... tho with that done, even if the HR is different, its likely that only minor adjustments to the CAD files will be needed since those engines are similar at the top.

This wont fit a stock hood correct Phunk/CJM? Would I have to cut a hole in my hood?
i dont imagine it going under 2000... every other part we machine is farrr more profitable in machine time.

it should clear the hood no problem if you remove the structure support in the tight spots around the throttle body... the rest of the intake clears just fine, you can fit a cusco strut bar on spacers over it.

Thats a good more volume. Awesome. How much more was the SP racing style with the OEM TB mount? Are these made to use the OEM TB or a bigger cable TB?
I dont have volume specs on our intake on SPs car, i predict it to be a little smaller. All of them are meant for stock throttle body.. we were thinking about going different, but we already have this thing require so many other mods that it would be unreasonable, and SP making over 1200 on the stock throttle sealed the deal on keeping it stock.

Hoping to finish the top charge pipe / end tank this weekend... then I can finally start fitting up the rest of the **** in the top half of the engine bay and put the cowl covers on, clean everything nice, and swap to the painted valvecovers. i wish you guys could see the intake in person, its not the most photogenic piece... but it turns out OK... in person it is ****in epic and doesnt appear so oddly shaped where it starts to taper down in the front.

and if youve never seen the car:

Absolutely Class "A" Work.............

This is coming from the Guy that Designed The B&M MegaCharger in the late 80's when B&M was in the Supercharger Bizz, they sold the complete supercharger Line to Holley in the 90's....

Hi Charles,

On the SP car, it looks like they hit peak torque at about 6800 rpm. Do you think the new plenum will be about the same? Maybe a little lower rpm since it is bigger I would presume.

That would explain the torque curve.

It certainly appears to be the way to go for the moster builds with moster turbos. But I would love to see the torque curve for the plenum with turbos that spool up sooner. I'm curious to see exactly how broad of a torque curve it will achieve.
