New winter new turbo build
I am very happy. The car drives just like stock, except when you get on it of course. I really like the way it sounds too, and I will try to capture that tomorrow with a couple highway runs. At the same time I will see if my boost issue is fixed and then back on the dyno next week. I will know what day I am dynoing again on Monday.

Don't pay much attention to the A/F, it is not right.

Good news, the boost drop has been resolved. My wastegate recirculating to the down pipe was at a bad angle, causing back pressur.
Boost log from Haltech:
RPM/ Boost
3.5k/ 5.5psi
4.0k/ 8.9psi
4.5k/ 8.9psi
5.0k/ 8.3psi
5.5k/ 8.4psi
6.0k/ 8.3psi
6.5k/ 8.0psi (letting off)
Something to note here. The w/g vacuum signal is taken right at the compressor housing, and the Haltech log is taken at the manifold. This tells me that I have a .4psi (3.5%) drop across the entire system. I am sure that this is a good indicator that the system flows very well.
So, problem solved I guess. Looks like the 8.7psi spring in the MV-S w/g is doing a very good job.

hey, ive watched your build since back when you started it. first id like to say congrats! second, in every picture ive seen, you dont have the intake side set up. out of curiosity, do you run it up to where the intake normally is on the car, or do you set up an intake underneath the car?

I don't know if I will have it on video though, my friend with the HD camcorder is out of town.
I will post the graph though.
Just a quck pull out on the highway. Traction was a bit of a problems as the temperatures here are still low, and the PS2's are just not made for it.

I'd ****** one up if it wasn't for a bunch of circumstances:
no time to uninstall my vortech
someone would have to buy that vortech
no time to install turbo kit
no garage here at school to do either of those
FML for the next 3 years i guess..haha. sucks living away from home.

Well, as promised new dyno graph:

I forgot to tell him to include the MAP graph, but can tell you that it was 7.4psi all the way through on the dyno MAP sensor and 8.2 on the Haltech. I guess it has something to do with calibration.
I let off a bit near the end, so it could have been a bit better. Either way I am very happy with the results, and the response.
Turbo is a Precision T3 6162 .81 a/r. Timing is conservative and a/f is about 11.5:1.
