I had to put new rotors and pads on my mom's Minicooper yesterday so that cut into my time. Apparently her left rear rotor broke (literally broken disk).

I had time to play with my ems a little. I adjusted the block of closed loop tuning for my idle and cruise all the same ratio leaner and slowly worked up until i was super rich. None of that changed anything on the car except when it was lean my trims were way off and when it was rich my trims were way off. Right where it's at now the trims are near zero all the time.

So it's not the trims causing the problem. I'm sure it's a misfire now so i'm going to check the plugs then try the injectors. I have time to check the plugs tonight but i don't htink i'll have time to swap injectors. We have to go out to eat with all our friends because I just got engaged last night. I'll more than likely be out late with all of the married couples now. lol

Ok, pulled all the plugs. They all looked fine. There was a little bit of ash around the base of the plug but not on the electrode or the wire.

Tomorrow I'll have some time in the afternoon to change the injectors and see if that's the issue. I'm thinking an intermittant issue with an injector (or possibly wiring to the injector) or coil. The last time i had a coil misfire it came up in the error codes so i'm leaning more towards a wiring issue on the injectors or injector going bad. The problem doesn't happen all the time so it's hard to diagnose.

Thanks for the congrats!

i didn't get to pull them out today. It seems whenever i get a chance to do something else i have something else come up.

Today i went and cleaned the garage out of my house (i currently live with the gf) so i can put my car in it for the winter. I had to clear extra space for my built motor that is going to be put in this winter

swapped out the 440's for the stock injectors. The blips or slight misfires are the same.

So basically my 440's are working fine. Now i have to take all that junk off to swap my 440's back in....*sigh*

Ya, the good news is that the injectors work fine and i don't have to replace them. I also tried a new injector harness on it so that is also working fine.

bad news is i still have an occassional misfire. It won't throw a code though, it just causes a blurp in the afr. hmm....more and more i'm thinking it's just normal and i'm just being picky lately.
