Default (UPDATED DYNO)Pretty good numbers with a Turbonetics kit and a cool idea.....

Sorry my first post of the dyno graph was too small here ya go........

A friend of mine sold his Turbonetics kit to his friend and he had it installed and tuned at a shop here in Columbus called Slowmotion Motorsports. I believe his was tuned using Uprev. Seems like they do pretty good work and even had a pretty cool idea for the intercooler. He has a G so with the limited airflow this would be a great idea! I'm going to have to meet up with him and check this out.

hmmm, I'd be concerned you'd block more airflow than you'd provide when at speed....would prolly help on dyno but not likely at 100mph....

cool idea though.

Fans were standard with the turbonetics G35 kits.

That just looks like a good way to block airflow?
Granted you will get more on those 2 spots... overall it looks like you would get less

Maybe the fans would be more efficient on the back side of the intercooler?

It would be interesting to know if at avg speeds those fans can replicate or even compare to the given airflow

they assume that the IC will be blocked 90% by the G35 bumper. so forced airflow is better than marginal. That IC would never see hwy speed airflow bc of the bumper.

Thanks Sta8dum, that was my whole point. This is on a G where the bumper covers most of the intercooler.

Why doesnt he just change the front bumper? The greddy bumper, top secret etc. have a huge spot for the fmic.

some people dont have 6-700$ extra for a bumper/prep/paint, or want a possible ill fitting, hanging lower than stock, crack at the sight of rock fiberglass bumper

That's what I was thinking. 420/413 @10psi with a Turbonetics kit (no meth) is strong. His baseline whp was 230 on a Dynopack

What do you mean by that? Worse than a dynojet? What correction factor are you guessing? This car put down 230whp on this dyno stock. It's a DE

he says the dynapack esp when using corrections read optimistically high compared to a DJ.

but if he made 230 on the same dyno with the same corrections thats a nice bump regardless

first..dynapack is the highest reading dyno i know of...much higher than even dynojet...and also the fans on the intercooler like that is the way it is supposed to be..although id try to get them on the back of the intercooler..looks like it would block air more than anything...it is like that on the g's though from what ive seen before because of the front bumper...

nonetheless looks like he is making some decent power out of the kit..and im sure the car is alot more fun..

This video shows that the dynojet is much higher than the dynapack......

^^theres so many things that factor in when dyno to dyno but normally a dynapack reads much higher...I made 408whp on a dynojet and 435whp on a dynapack in very similar weather ...but every dynapack i have seen reads high from my experience
