storing gtm 4.2L for the winter?
I have been searching and not coming up with any answers...... I have a 4.2L gtm stroker motor with a single turbo kit. All the work was done in texas, then i bought the car and shipped it to iowa this summer. I have been driving it for awhile here, it is starting to get colder and i want to store the car for this winter. I saved a couple of threads on here about "storing your z for the winter". I want to know if there is anything i should do differently? Should i use a fuel stabilizer?

no no no, its a 4.2L. you need to remove the oil and fill it with a liquid gold to preserve the 4.2L. crushed diamonds in the engine bay will keep the 4.2L nice and dry, it kinda acts like sponge for moisture. also, you'll want to try to rest the car sideways during storage since the 4.2L likes to sleep on its side. a nice car cover made from polar bear fur will also keep the 4.2L nice and warm during the cold winter months. good luck!

^^^ no no no... thats not it....
You need to drain the oil and fill it up with "sodium silicate".....
Then put some Sta-Bil in the fuel tank ( recommended amount )
Then make sure to run it again for about 10-15 mins... you'll know when its finished going through your engine.....
Then just put it up on jack stands and wait till next spring!!!!
have a good holiday ... hope that helped
