So yea went to the track last night (Greddy TT)
I guess the location on the left gave that away
I am over 2400ft and density altitude is usually over 3000ft in Orlando i would expect it to be close to sea level so i would expect some better trap speeds. What size are your drag radials, i tried DR with a shorter over all diameter than stock (all that was available at the time) and it caused me to have to shift right before the finish line or I would hit the rev limiter and I also noticed i lost about 5mph.

I PM'd them about it, it looks like it might be closed though b/c they already collected the money. I think I might not need that hardcore of axles since I'm not going into the 1000 hp arena. I want like 550-600 rwhp. It seems like the level below those would suit me.
What set-up are you running as far as axles and tires? I see you have an 11 sec 1/4.
I'm thinking Hoosier tires, Nismo LSD, and level 5 axles at the moment for mine unless the pro axles are an amazing deal.

check out his thread on the pro axles. From what i've read it's smarter to just go to the pro axles since they have a stronger cv housing. That seems to be the next part to break after you have upgraded axles.
man you guys are really pushing the big money axles! lol. I PM'd them on the group buy pro-axles with my number so hopefully I can talk to them tomorrow.
I def. don't want anything to break again though, I have another car thats my daily driver but its just a big pain the butt to get towed from the track.

better deal is bambam sellin his level 5's for 750$, although 1800$ is only a drop in the FI bucket. Wait til you have to drop 2500$ on that clutch to hold 550-600 hp. That will pucker your butt.
hard to believe you broke in the burnout box. there's supposed to be little traction there. strange.

The track I went to isn't really the best, its just the closest (thank god b/c I get free towing under 100 miles with AAA. I have the ACT 6 puck clutch and prolite flywheel and its been holding really well for a clutch disc that's pretty much worn. I'm going to replace it when I build the motor and drop in my new transmission (CD009)
I got 2 passes in on the stock axles before the driver side broke. Im running a 27" Mickey Thompson ET Street Bias Ply
If you go to level two make sure you buy an all new inner CV after I broke my stockers I went to level 2 but reused my stock inner CVs I made about 30ft on my next pass at the track and it rounded off the splines on the level 2 axle
You dont NEED big money axles. Change your tecniques, how high did you rev on the burnout when you broke? You rolled completely thru the water right? You're preloading when launching correct?
I bought level 5's from a guy who was selling them CHEAP, otherwise Id rather break 10 stockers for the price of those....

Damn. These cars are not made for high horsepower track use! lol

Thanks,

It broke like instantly on the free standing burnout. Probably not more then 3500 RPMs when it broke. Didn't go through the water. I don't know what prelaunching is. I've never really done a burnout in my life, I tried that night but didn't really do it. My b/f was the one that broke the axle. We (both me and my b/f raced the car that night) had done 3 passes before it broke. 2 with burnouts.
get them spinnin in the box and hold it for a few seconds then let off the brake and roll out of the water burning out ..easy as that...dont just rev it up and dump it with the slicks on not even in the water
ive pulled many 1.6 60ft's on stock axles and do my burnoughts like i stated and no problems to date..knock on wood...and preload the car when launching dont just dump it
