if a SC trq curve is the exact same or better than TT curve, what 'feeling' are you referring to? In a blind test, people would be hard pressed to tell the difference in acceleration between for example my car and a 450hp 18g.
a T-trim would be so far out of its efficiency at 70k. It would be like trying to make 500 on a turbonetics. A YSI on a build motor would be another story... I think a 10 ribbed YSI VQ would hang on the track with a build TT VQ. The potential is there http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/global.php?cat=5
But what you suggest is not possible with any belt driven system as you cant spool up

So yea the belt would be an issue so a cog style or 8-10 rib conversion would be needed. I think with the right head unit this could be more than possible. Now a T-trim and the right combo of pulleys to make say 15-20 lbs of boost on a stock block and bleed off say everything above 10psi and you can see where I am going with this. My point is that turbos produce more flow then is needed so they can produce more boost down low and vent the rest off with a wastegate. The same could be done with a Supercharger. Most all supercharger setups the flow goes from the supercharger directly into the engine so you are limited by the amount of peak boost it produces. Oh and the "feeling" is that midrange surge.

ya my car definitely had a nice midrange surge. but again, not many other vortech setups are making 410 ft-lbs on a dyno dynamics.
like i have said in the past, i have logged 4 or 5 various pulley combos and only saw 1-2 psi difference under 4000 rpms. Thats maybe 20-30 hp difference between a 3.33 and 2.62. But with a much bigger charger, maybe there would be more of a difference.

i just posted the graphs, there is not one that has noticeably better torque
trq = hp*5252/rpm
spot check the above graphs for yourself...
thats too common a myth that people are still very ignorant to on this site... when comparing stock blocks, a SC can max out the rods just the same as a turbo kit costing alot more money

I would agree with you on that, although they did cross thread one of the mounting boltd on my SI trim when I got it back after a quick rebuild. My main issue is the unknown-rated bearings that Vortech uses. Are the blower max-rpm ratings based on the bearings or the impeller, or both?

I live i9n dominican republic and is very expensive for me to send it and then receive it again...but i think with a shop here we an do a good job..they rebuld another vortech and its ok a year later..

I know the T-trim is larger, I was just curious if such mods would offer a significant upgrade in performance since it would cost approximately a 3rd of what a T-trim costs.

you could upgrade to a YSI blower for the cost of a S-trim plus all that other junk.
doesnt make any sense to take a good warrantable blower and add a bunch of non-standard/untested parts.
There is no-one who has tried that combo. There was a kit for sale with all that stuff, but it has been bought and resold so many times and never installed I have lost count.
if you want more power get a bigger blower from the start.

i thought we decided there wasn't enough room to fit a ysi in our car. I think the fx35 fit it because there is more room between the front support and the engine.
Maybe if someone modified the front support and put a custom radiator in the ysi will fit.
i might talk to them about a t-trim update. I didn't know they had a trade in program.
