Default GTM TT vs STS Rear mount what's better?

Okay I have an 07 z, was originally going with gtm and got the stage 2 kit down to 7000 shipped.. Came across a Z shop in Florida by the name of "z fever". They take the sts turbo setup for 03-06 and custom fabricate to fit Hr motor with up rev tune. I can get the sts turbo with install and tune for 6900... 12 psi would be around 450-470 wheel as per dyno sheets I saw. The gtm kit is 7000 with no install or tune.. What would you suggest? I don't mind spending the extra money if it's better but from what I have read, sts seems safer. LMK

thanks

Depends what your power goals are. The GTM kit is hands down a better kit and if money is not an object that is def. the way to go. These turbo kits really aren't even in the same league.

Where you live may be a factor. If there is any inclement weather you prolly don't want the STS kit at all.

And you will have "custom Fab" done to make it work on the HR. I'd get it in writing what its gonna cost up front or you may be going for a real ride with the builder

if you have any plans of going big down the road go with the gtm kit. if your just trying to make safe power on a stock block and trying to save a few dollars then sts is great. I would agree with the previous statement though of getting something in writing about the cost of the custom fab work as that could present unexpected delays and costs if you don't. If I had it to do over again I would do a built jwt 700bb or gtm tt right out of the gate

if you are NEVER going to do engine upgrades then both kits should bring you to a power level that will be good on a stock block. If you ever plan on doing anything further then the sts kit will fall short of the power a gtm TT can provide.

find out how much the shop would cost to install that TT. Truthfully you will probably have quite a bit of money in the install for it.

I would get total numbers from the shop in writing on out the door for both kits THEN see what you want to do. If you can afford the GTM i think you will like it better, but it's going to cost a good deal more and not really needed for your power goals.

If your goals are nothing but a safe daily driver and you don't mind lag the STS will be fine. I have one and while I enjoy it I know that it is limited compared to TT.

Lower budget + safer daily + lower ceiling of power=STS

Higher budget+ Safe on low boost but I would not say as safe as STS+ much higher ceiling of power+GTM TT

Oh and BTW search next time. The answers would not have been hard to find. Next time I won't have my spoon handy

You don't know the power of "The Dark Lord of The Search"
