200mph in 1 mile

Honestly, I would check out supra forums man.....there are several members there who do several 1 mile races. The C/D of our cars is pretty close to them as well. Since you are in a G....the weight is close as well. From what I have seen on there....800 +/- 50 (dynojet) seems to be the consensus for 200mph. Like mentioned above...initial traction plays a huge roll. Gaining mph from there means drastically bumping the hp up. The record setting SW supra (246mph) traps in the mid 180's in the 1/4 mile to give you an idea. Though I have heard the boost is turned down a bit for traction purposes. Still figure that car is making 1500+whp.

Theoretically yes it should, but in the real world drag is very difficult to overcome. I can only imagine (well it's possible to mathematically figure it out without having to imagine) how hard it might be to gain an extra 9 mph at 191 mph. Maybe you know more than you are letting on and have it all figured out; I hope that is the case.
I wish you the best of luck. I'm a big fan of your car and I posted it up on our blog awhile ago.

I am just thinking realistically here. But good luck to you, and I hope you find out and do what you need to do to be successful with this.

also the gearing
I thought the 3.5 FD gearing limited you
that's why I say 3.3 FD and higher redline should bring up your top speed
Apart from what everyone else has said

I'd first look into a full underbody 'tray' (flat bottom).
I personally wouldn't run the 3.5 final drive - the 3.3 would allow you to come out of the hole harder, get into the boost sooner, and give you a higher top end per gear. Problem is, it won't work with a NISMO LSD, but other diffs would work (Quaife and Cusco do diffs that are specific for the 3.3 auto ring and pinion)
Any idea what the car weighs? Any practical ways to reduce weight?

I remember seeing pictures of your car before. It is all business for sure . Please keep us updated on your progress and i would like to know your power/torque and weight when you do your run also the mph you get. A goal of mine is to run the Texas mile and your story will be a good indication of what it takes to make the 200mph club.
Good luck and I hope you make your goal.

Good Luck!!! Hope you hit your goals, may take a few tries of trial and error on a few things. +1 on the aerodynamics too.

i just checked out that blog. that car is serious stuff.
It appears that the oem plenum has been removed and a custom one built. It's not an individual throttle body setup but it has more of a LSx design. I like it. Any info on the gains from it?
