Default 06 Turbonetics kit

Do they even make one?

This has probably been asked and I apologize once again if it has (no forum search option), and during my excursions on intensepower I found the kit for about 5.5k which seems to be in my price range.

I read the FI for Noobs thread and it contained useful information for me. I want longevity with some extra boost, but now I'd like to know:

Excluding install how much will this kit actually cost me? Just for the basics to get me started in FI cuz I know it's easy to get carried away.

Why do you say "headache"? Is there something wrong with Turbonetics?

The Powerlab kit is simply a better designed kit with higher quality components. There are many threads which highlight the differences between those respective turbo kits.

Thanks for the info; I'll do a bit of reading later. But going back to my somewhat original question...

What is the true cost to set up either kit minus labor? Can I get by with just the kit and maybe some cheap gauges or will I need to price gaskets and other little things? I'm trying to keep cost low, so if I can't do it on my budget I'm just going to put it off or pick up different parts.

Edit: I'm also trying to keep install relatively simple; I don't want to replace things I don't have to atm. Like I said I just want to break into it; I don't want an extreme setup, lol.

Simple answer is No. Turbonetics did not make a kit for the 06 RevUp. Can you make it work, Yes. I currently have a Turbonetics kit in my garage off an 06 RevUp. The Y pipe had to be modified to fit under rack.
Between the Turbonetics and Powerlab kit. I would say Powerlab unless your getting a killer deal on a Turbonetics (I did) and not wanting crazy power.
Just remember that the 5.5K for the kit will require about another 2.5k for miscellaneous items.

Good luck,

C

I thank those who gave useful advice, and to the rest: enjoy yourselves. It's not the first time I've had people insult me on forums and I'd be a fool to think it the last. I just would advise against ripping on noobs until you actually understand the entire situation behind why the question was posted in the first place.

no one is ripping on you or insulting you, we are meerly asking you to use the board as it was designed, alot of people put in alot of hard work creating FAQ's, userguides, DYI's and shared information otherwise known only to mechanics on this forum, we would appreciate it if you took a little time out in your day to use to search function to obtain this information. However if you are too lazy, feel the need to have the information brought to you or in some manner feel like duplicating the information then you are going to get as little help as possible. Again i would like to appologize to you if you feel we have offended you in anyway, which after reading this thread i don't get hat impression. You will be amazed how much information you can gather by searching and how much of an asset you can be to this forum by educating yourself on the information we have already provided on this forum. We would all be very impressed if you can posted this thread giving us the information you have searched and then giving us an alternative view on the subject or even asking a follow up question, however it is quite clear you havn't done any research, because this very question has been asked about 10 times in the past month and very lengthy threads have been created behind them. We in the Forced Induction forum like to help those that help themselves, however if you don't feel you wish to help yourself even after getting numerous generous replies in the begginging then you will find the more you ask with the less research the less people will continue to respond to your threads in the future. The choice is really up to you.

Again if we offended you, it was not the intension, we just want you to appreciate the work we have done over the years making this the number 1 resource of Forced Induction Information for 350z's and G's on the Internet by simply using our Search Function.

FYI no one has ever gotten a reply like this from me, however the mere fact i took the time to reply shows that i feel you're confused about our intent, however now that i've took this time to break it down to you, i hope you can do the same by searching for the information you require and stop asking questions over and over and stop getting offended by comments that wern't even offensive.

Thank you and have a plessant Holiday

You can simply have a plan. Single turbo and SC installed/tune =around 8k
TT = around 10k. Depends on shops labor and what kit/support parts do you use with your setup. Don't hate members here, its just you didn't search around. Good luck, welcome to "my350z FI section"

Doug makes lots of sense, we put in hours making DIY for others to use.. I know I have.. Yet people create hundreds of threads like this which makes it harder to find the good DIY FAQ threads OGs have made..
