Default So i put the car on the Dyno. APS ST

well..

after installing the meth and tune i wanted to redyno the car to check the difference.

I am shocked. !!!!!!! i have to get the boost issue fixed. looking for Remote WAstegate pipe

with this amount of tourqe on a stock engine i guess am in the danger zone.

Low boost Map 6-7 psi /without Methanol :

spike to 9 psi and drops to 6-7 by redline.

highboost Map 9-10 psi / with methanol :

the problem am facing is the boost drop..

on the high boost run. one the max almost 4000RPM i hit 13 psi and keep on dropping till it reachs the 10-9 and even 8 psi by the redline.

thougths guys.

Wow, thats a big spike. My TN kit was doing the same thing before I did the WG relocation. Fun to drive but I was always worried about blowing the engine. Since I did the relocation my boost held steady from 4k to redline.

has your boost always been doing this? is it consistently the same amount of spike and leak? what are you using to control boost? have you done a boost leak test?

The remote WG pipe will not fix this issue. There is too much back pressure in the manifold (pre-turbo). You will need to have a custom WG mounted on the crossover pipe. There is plenty of room. You will have the same problems with overboosting and spiking if you mount the WG at the turbo. Just block that off or change the exhaust housing to a standard 4 bolt.

but am i was thinking of fabricating something like APS remoute wastegate. and the wastegate is after the turbo.. !!!! what do you mean by saying mount the WG AT the turbo!!?? can you please elaborate.

thanks for the input.

so just to clarify; even with running it off its w/g spring pressure it spikes? like, bypass the boost controller and run just off of the w/g pressure, it does the same thing? correct?

yes...

but with the boost controller on . i can hold the boost lil less than its spiking.

example...

boost controller off... the boost spike is almost 15 psi then drops..
boost controller on... the boost spile is around 12-13 psi. and drops.
boost controller on... i can set it to very low psi. where the max spike is 9 psi but it will drop to 5-6 psi.. which is not what i want.

well, if this were me personally, i'd try just running a vacuum line from a pressure source to the wastegate. if still spikes then i'd figure out fabbing up a new style wastegate.
