Default Stock injectors on AAM RFS

This is kind of a strange one....so bare with me

Recently installed my vortech s/c and its awaiting a tune but is not being done until end of march. In the meantime i want to get it used as i have a few meets coming up which i would like to get to.

My setup

Vortech v3
Deatschwerks 600cc injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
100cell Race Cats
AAM Stage 1 Fuel Return System Inc reg
1 step colder plugs

I have already replaced my injectors back to stock and disconnected the s/c cog. Should this have my car running as it was before having done my install? My fuel pressure is set to 3 bar....is this ok for the stock injectors?

I did a quick start up this morning and my revs kept jumping from .5 to 1.5k...have not done an ecu reset yet so this is what i will be doing the weekend

My car was previously tuned with uprev and when my car goes into the tuners my s/c will be tuned on that also. I just want to get some use out of it for the next few weeks.

I have known people to disconnect the cog belt and drive it that way... but as far as I know a reflash tune will not let you run a RFS correctly... you will need a piggy back or a stand alone to be able to use it correctly... Check with your tuner though. They will know your car better than the people on this forum.

Congrats on the new blower and good luck.

I would have to say that isn't true. A flash, piggyback, or standalone doesn't know, and doesn't care, whether a RFS is used or not. It is all dependent on proper tuning and proper setup of the RFS.
